“Contraband” director Baltasar Kormákur’s adaptation of the comic book “2 Guns” has added two more names to its cast — James Edward Olmos (of “Battlestar Galactica” fame, but more recently, “Dexter”) and James Marsden (Cyclops in the “X-Men” films) have joined the cast.
“2 Guns” is already set with Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington, playing a Navy SEAL and DEA agent, respectively, who are tricked into stealing a hefty amount of cash from the CIA. The men must team up and clear their names while they are hunted.
Of the two new additions, Olmos will play the main villain name Papi Greco, described as “a dangerous Mexican druglord who runs up against” our heroes.
Marsden, meanwhile, will play Mark Wahlberg’s boss in the movie.
Paula Patton and Bill Paxton were also recently added to the cast, with Patton playing Washington’s love interest. This would make the second time she’s played his love interest, the duo having worked together previously on the 2006 sci-fi actioner “Deja Vu”.
Paxton, meanwhile, will play a high ranking CIA chief. No doubt it’s Paxton’s character that pursues the two heroes for robbing him of his, no doubt, ill-got CIA funds.
