3D Sex and Zen Sequel to Go 4D … with Vibrator Seats

3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy (2011) Movie PosterThe first “3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy” proved to be so successful that it took the biggest opening day crown from the likes of James Cameron’s “Avatar”. I guess when it comes right down to it, Hong Kongers prefer their 3D with a nice helping of boobies and badly simulated sex that doesn’t involve the color blue or tails. Can’t say I blame them.

With the fist film being such a hit, obviously you knew a sequel would be coming. The film’s producer Stephen Shiu is already hard at work on said follow-up, which has now received the ponderous title of “4D Sex and Zen: Slayer of a Thousand from the Mysterious East”. My guess is that by the time the film leaves the former island colony to seek its fortunes on the International scene it’ll just be called “4D Sex and Zen”.

So what’s this about “4D”? Robert Rodriguez tried this gimmick with his last “Spy Kids” movie, which involved people scratching and sniffing from a card that you got when you bought your tickets. Yup, nothing like paying for the privilege to scratch and sniffing “puke” or “fart”. But that’s kids stuff. The folks behind “Sex and Zen” are targeting adults. Shiu promises that the sequel will be utilizing vibrating seat technology in Hong Kong.

Two things: 1) bring a change of underwear; and 2) they have “vibrating seat technology” in Hong Kong movie theaters?

Given the prolific nature of the Hong Kong film industry when it comes to sequels, I would expect “4D Sex and Zen: Slayer of a Thousand from the Mysterious East” to land in a vibrating theater seat near you by late 2012 or early 2013. Get in line for your tickets now, kids!
