Following up on that brief (and rather silly) promo spot for “The Flash” shown at the end of last night’s “Arrow” season finale, here’s a proper trailer (5 minutes worth, in fact!) for the CW’s new superhero show.
I was never much of a Flash comic book reader, mostly because the idea of a guy who can run so fast he time travels, having to face villains that shoot freezing ray guns and throw boomerangs just seemed idiotic to me, so I’m guessing there will be lots of “out there” storylines for “The Flash” TV show, since you can’t very well have him fighting gangsters and the like. That would just, well, silly. (You know, like a talking gorilla.)
It looks like that might be the case, because according to this trailer, they’re going to explain the existence of people with powers (i.e. meta humans) using some weird science mumbo jumble about anti-matter or some such. Basically, the same thing that gave Barry his powers also gave powers to a bunch of bad guys. Hey, whatever works, I guess. Maybe they can give the guy with the arrow some powers, too…
Anyways, Check out the 5-minute trailer below, check it outers.
The show stars Grant Gustin, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Rick Cosnett, and John Wesley Shipp.
The Flash arrives this Fall on the CW.
