5-Minute Extended Trailer For The Flash

Grant Gustin in The Flash

Following up on that brief (and rather silly) promo spot for “The Flash” shown at the end of last night’s “Arrow” season finale, here’s a proper trailer (5 minutes worth, in fact!) for the CW’s new superhero show.

I was never much of a Flash comic book reader, mostly because the idea of a guy who can run so fast he time travels, having to face villains that shoot freezing ray guns and throw boomerangs just seemed idiotic to me, so I’m guessing there will be lots of “out there” storylines for “The Flash” TV show, since you can’t very well have him fighting gangsters and the like. That would just, well, silly. (You know, like a talking gorilla.)

It looks like that might be the case, because according to this trailer, they’re going to explain the existence of people with powers (i.e. meta humans) using some weird science mumbo jumble about anti-matter or some such. Basically, the same thing that gave Barry his powers also gave powers to a bunch of bad guys. Hey, whatever works, I guess. Maybe they can give the guy with the arrow some powers, too…

Anyways, Check out the 5-minute trailer below, check it outers.

The show stars Grant Gustin, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Rick Cosnett, and John Wesley Shipp.

The Flash arrives this Fall on the CW.

That looked good! and the Weather wizard looked promising. I really like the suit in motion. And I like that it’s Arrow that gives him the name. It also looks like he’ll have his own support team, and such. I’m really looking forward to this.

  • Lexavi80

Man, I can’t get pass the suit.

I guess it’ll be alright though. If the writing is good, I see another hit for the CW.

How would you have made it different? What kind of material? We saw how he looked in spandex. lol

  • ultra q

it’s kinda different from the 90’s flash series and unlike the baggy flash guy from
that awful LEGEND OF SUPERHEROES TV movie NBC-TV aired in 1979
    RUN FLASH RUN!!!!!

I would hope so. No show should be a retread of what came before it, in looks, tone or content.

  • Debo4735

This looks awesome! I love the suit in motion, and the way they show movement in first and third person looks cool to.

Agreed. Also looked deeper into this but the two assistants are basically Killer Frost and Vibe, or at least their human personas. Makes me wonder do we get a hero and a villain coming out of Flash’s crew. Also Thawne is a cop, and that looked like Reverse Flash in the flashback to Barry’s mom’s death.

      • bgc

Thawne is the Reverse Flash but just using the cop act as a cover up

        • http://www.beyondhollywood.com/ Dedpool

That’s my guess as well. I’m actually thinking that he’s been stuck here the whole time, and that he’s now WAITING for his rival’s arrival on the scene. I wonder how much of the time travel aspect there will be if at all. If there isn’t then that begs the question how did Thawne become Reverse Flash.

          • bgc

I’m pretty sure there has to be more of a time traveling aspect to it because you can’t really have a reverse flash without thwane. you cant have thwane without time traveling

  • TronSheridan

LOL, typical CW show. Gorgeous teenagers parading as brilliant scientists and world savers. The gregarious nerd male who’s the lab whiz kid (and is probably awkward with the ladies). The physically limited mentor who wants to live his adventures through his pupil. Etc.

    • http://www.beyondhollywood.com/ Dedpool

Um, isn’t that pretty much typical anything teen oriented? Not just CW shows, though they’ve cornered the market recently.

  • Aegon the Conqueror

Ok I’m officially sold, the suit, the story it does indeed look awesome. Although I must say for some reason Green Arrow makes me think of Mentor Batman here.
I just have one little iffy with it, if you are nearly 6 feet tall and you weigh less than 160 pounds, abs are really not that impressive at all!

  • Aegon the Conqueror

This show better hurry up and get here, cause with Walking Dead, Arrow and Agents of Shield finished, and GOT wrapping up in less than a month, I have fuck all shows to watch that are airing at the moment.

  • MiguelinaStarnes

wow The Tralior is very interesting to be watch .

  • NicholHoosier

I have really like it Tralior to watch again and again .Almost every scene is very action based.
