If you’re not excited about seeing Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in the same movie together, acting opposite each other throughout the film, then you just don’t appreciate good cinema. Sure, both actors have seen better days, but is there any doubt getting to work opposite each other will bring out the best in them? Having said that, here’s news via the Hollywood Reporter that rapper 50 cent (aka Curtis Jackson) has joined the cast. The film itself is set to shoot in the East Coast around September.
In the $60 million dollar film, De Niro and Pacino play police Detectives pursuing a serial killer. 50 Cent will play a drug dealer who assists the two Detectives in their case.
This isn’t 50 Cent’s first movie role. He actually starred in 2005’s “Get Rich or Die Tryin'”, a movie that was loosely based on his own rise from the ghetto, and last year he was in the film “Home of the Brave”. He’s also one very busy boy, and in 2008 (besides “Righteous Kill”), he’s attached to no less than 3 movies.
So is he kissing goodbye to the rap game or what?
