Thundercats TV Show

Thundercats

I grew up on G.I.Joe, He-Man, and Thundercats to name a few. And I’ve watched most of these shows get reinvented again and again to mostly mixed results. Only recently have they been taken seriously and done right, with the 2002 “Masters of The Universe” reboot (though it didn’t last), and then with “G.I.Joe: Resolute.” But the Cats have been left alone until now. 2011 gave us an Epic reboot of the franchise, with a more fantasy minded take, but with all the action and sci-fi of the original. It’s well written, the characters aren’t one note, and the situations are a bit more serious, as people die. Currently on hiatus with only a few more episodes left in the season, this grand retelling has me and my daughter firmly engrossed. Overseen by some of the “Avatar: The last Airbender” crew you can definitely tell by the amount of care and thought that has gone into remaking this mythology.
