8 Overlooked Films from 2012

Not every film hits the mark. Hell, some films don’t even get the chance to take aim at the mark, either going straight to DVD or getting buried on some distributor’s shelf, only to finally sneak their way onto the shelves of video stores around the country (they still have those, right?) years later. Or dumped onto VOD without fanfare, as is the fashion nowadays. Just to be clear: I’m not saying these movies are great or destined for cult classic status, but in my very humble opinion, they are very watchable, and definitely deserve a second look if you skipped them the first time around for whatever reason.

In no particular order…

I’ve seen Dredd and the Tall Man, and i completely agree with your reviews on those two :D

Seen most of these flicks, and left generally impressed. Most of them are low budget, but worth watching. Pretty decent list ….

Dredd is The best film i saw in 2012. Pure gold.
The Man with the Iron Fists on the other hand is a pile of shit. So is Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning also i really love Adkins and Van Damme is my childhood hero.

Dredd and Get the Gringo are otustanding as are most of htese movies, Tall Man was terrible though and Rza’s acting is atrocious even by action flick standards.

Interesting list//// Dredd IS great…. but Man with the Iron Fists? Nope- stupid rip-off that really, really sucks.

Dredd was good, like the good old blow shit up kind of way. Not every death scene has to be all emotional.

Actually ive seen universal soldier Day of Reckoning and belive me it was a good movie, better than the first.

Never even heard of Baytown Outlaws before, but with Billy Bob Thornton as the bad guy and Thomas Brodie-Sangster as the boy, it’s just moved to the top of my must see list.

This was a great list of movies, most of them I haven’t seen but in due time I will check them out…he’s my suggestion for a sequel “Blood and Bone” the ending sets the movie up for a sequel, I would luv some director to pick up this story line!!
