A Better Dragonball Movie Poster
The last time we posted a movie poster for “Dragonball”, it was literally that — a friggin’ glowing ball. Yeah, real riveting stuff, I have to say, one of those things that make you go, “Wow, seriously? Some guy got paid to come up with that?” Well okay, so this latest “Dragonball” poster isn’t all that much better, but it does show more of the cast of the movie, including Emmy Rossum, a couple of cute Asian chicks, Chow Yun Fat, and of course, Frodo the Hobbit lookalike Justin Chatwin and his glowing balls — er, I mean — wait, yeah, glowing balls, I was right the first time — is front and center again.
(Hey, it’s either this or some lame ass story about how Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone may (let me rephrase that, may) do cameos in a Bollywood movie. Yeah, that was getting a lot of traction yesterday on the Interwebs. I tell you, the crap some of my fellow movie webmasters care about, boggles your mind.)
Via the site Film1, who also brought us the “G.I. Joe” poster yesterday. It’s too bad he either has a pretty awful digital camera, or he doesn’t know how to shoot a picture.

The New Dragonball Poster looks Amazing!!!! I like how they showed King Piccolo eye’s. They look soooo Cool!! This poster reminds me of the first Star wars movie. Emmy Rossum looks gorgeous as Bulma and Justin Chatwin looks exactly like my homie Goku

Good god that poster looks gay… The movie is gonna suck I know it… Who the f*** hired that gay looking cast? Good god the guy who does Goku looks nothing like him, and he looks like a f*g… F***! If the movie is anything like this poster, Its gonna suck!
Also, you cant even tell who anyone is on the poster, unless you look at casting… Goku is the only one I knew until I looked at casting… This movie is soooooooooo going to suck…
does anyone else notice piccolos eyes in the sky above them?
Yeah that piccolo, the real debate is he going human in the ikm shapeshiting.Piccolo’s form in the begining of the movie is Human to blend in but later goes full piccolo but doesn’t have antennae but is green-yellow. Also his costume is arabian and all Namekians wear black. He also notes that Piccolo goes from Good to Evil where as Goku goes from Bad to Good(explained in movie) And that he does tell Goku that he is a saiyan and there are two endings to the movie(maybe one after the credits) Where in one he spits up and egg.
‘Kay… This movie may just ruin my childhood memories of Dragonball… But I’m glad that they’re doing Dragonball and not Z, because trying to do all the fighting in Z when the characters are stronger and faster than they were in Dragonball would have sucked.
Even though it’s not going to live up to the anime, I’m excited for this movie.

The whole elements of the poster suck! The colors (red and blue) are so not DragonBall-like.. I’m gonna cry my eyes out. And I’m tired of shunning the whole casting. I’m gonna shun the poster..
This is what you get when non fan attempt to create something. The characters are totally off. By the looks of things they are going to be changing the story. Whether this thing has great special effects means nothing, if were are not going to have characters or a storyline similar to the originals this is not Dragon Ball Z. So far it does not look like dragon ball z. They should give it another name, and present it as a stand alone. Call it Dragon Ball kid. SHIT don’t taint the image of our beloved show!! DAMN YOU JAMES WONG.

WOW, this movie looks like it’s gonna suck so much balls - the guy who is playing Goku looks like a panzy - this is probably gonna be just as bad as Street Fighter w/ Van Dam. Corny costumes, compressed plots, and what’s worse than street fighter movie, is that the main character looks like a weakling - GOKU IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SUPER BEEF ALIEN CHILD THAT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO KILL A SHITLOAD OF PEOPLE WITH A FLICK. Not some panty-waist that’s 20 years old. I love Dragon Ball and Dragonball Z; I was hoping they’d do a live action on it; but from what I’ve seen with the costumes/props/actors the movie looks really cheesy and is probably gonna really suck and flop and give the franchise a bad name
It’s unbelievable. The negative sounds are so monkey see monkey do. ‘He, here is said that the colours are so not Dragonball, here is said that Goku looks gay, everything about this movie sucks hard’ blablabla. Point is, till now, you can’t say anything about the movie cause we know NOTHING about it. It can suck, it can be good, it may relay fully on the original anime or they create a different story. We’ll see.

There is no possible way to know hpw this is going to turn out at the moment.
I personally think that for a japanese anime turned real life that it looks quite good. Of course hair wont be the same, or the eyes or the hair, but what do you expect?

I have read all of these comments and all I can say is what a shame. To be honest I don’t know how this movie s going to turn out, but nooone has seen it, so how can you trash something before it even comes out. I have every single dvd and tape of dragon ball, dragon ball z and dragon ball gt. I am a true fan of this anime and I can’t wait to see what they do in this movie. Some of you people need to really grow up. Lastly if you think it is going to suck so bad then don’t go see it. I am sure there are tons of dragon ball fans that will make up for your absence.

This cant be happening to all the fans. The movie wont look, sound or feel like dragonball and it smells like crap.. piccolo isnt green and “goku” looks like someone from a gay magazine. I watched.. well let’s say im raised with this stuff and i dont like what i see now.. Imagine that there’s gonna be a real pokemon movie and pikachu looks like a smurf and ash looks like albert einstein..! that would be awesome right? The hell with this “dragonball” movie
I think all of you guys that want this movie to be just like the cartoon are idiots. Shows like Dragonball don’t translate to live action well at all. Hell one fight scene would be as long as all 3 Lord of the Rings movies. So if the writers and director take some creative liberties to make it work, more power to them. I can’t believe you guys are getting bent out of shape over a few wardrobe changes. If you want to see live action Dragon Ball movies that stick close to the cartoon they’re out there, and you know what…They suck. Just to burst your bubbles even more. Jet-Li?…Jacky Chan?…ROFLMAO. I’m actually surprised Chow Yun Fat took the role. Movie companies are always going to try to appeal to a broader demographic than just the fanboys. Other wise Spider-Man, The X-Men movies, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, and the Hellboy movies would have all sucked donkey balls. I’ll be happy with the movie if they stick to the overall theme and story of the Dragon Ball mythos. That’s what mainly drew me to the cartoon. Not Piccalo’s purple uniform and his white turban and cape. Ok rant over.
