A Dreddful New Image of Lena Headey

Judge Dredd Comic Book CoverWhen you think Lena Headey (now known primarily as the devious, brother-lover Cersei Lannister from “Game of Thrones”), you’re probably not thinking futuristic drug dealing badass. But then, you probably haven’t seen this new close-up shot of her as Madeline ‘Ma-Ma’ Madrigal, groovy looking scars and all from the sci-fi actioner. Check out the new, close-up pic of Headey from Pete Travis’ Judge Dredd reboot, “Dredd”.

In the LATimes article where the pic is featured, we also learn more about the movie starring Karl Urban as the titular lawman, as well as its main female villain:

In a world scorched and sickened by radiation wars, Mega City One is one of the last pockets of civilization but it tests the bottom limits of the word. Madrigal is the fierce gang leader who rules Peach Tree City Block and that puts her squarely in the sights of the film’s title character, Judge Joseph Dredd — played by Karl Urban of “Star Trek” and “The Bourne Supremacy” — the most feared of the city’s Street Judges, the elite armored agents who bring the entire criminal justice system to the sidewalk; they are arresting officer, judge, jury and, yes, executioner.

“Dredd” also stars Olivia Thirlby, Lena Headey, Jason Cope, Langley Kirkwood, Kevon Kane, Joe Vaz, Warrick Grier, Scott Sparrow, Luke Tyler, and is due this September 21st.
