A Handful of Pics from Dark Castle’s The Factory

Although John Cusack can be a bit of a knucklehead from time to time, I’m a pretty big fan of the guy’s work. “Better Off Dead” still gets a lot of play around the Rigney household, and I can even appreciate Cusack’s contributions to such marginal films as “Serendipity” and “Must Love Dogs”. I cannot, however, forgive him for making me sit through “2012″, a motion picture that ranks as one of the worst I’ve seen in a very, very long time. Thanks a lot, Meyer. Anyway, Shock Till You Drop was kind enough to post some pics from Cusack’s upcoming feature “The Factory”, a film that may not see the light of day for quite some time, as multiple delays have consistently derailed its release date. Still, it’s good to see Cusack tackling something a bit more high-brow than this year’s disaster “Hot Tub Time Machine”.

Here’s a quick synopsis to get you going:

An obsessed cop is on the trail of a serial killer prowling the streets of Buffalo, N.Y. but when his teenage daughter disappears, he drops any professional restraint to get the killer.

Internet Movie Database currently has “The Factory” listed as a 2011 movie, so I’m guessing this won’t hit theaters until sometime next year. Considering this thing was lensed in 2009, it’s a pretty safe bet that it’s going to stink. But what do I know? Instead of listening to me ramble, stare at the pictures below.

Author: Todd Rigney

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.

Heh. This is the film where the screenwriter came out in public and made statements hinting at the fact that Cusack was a douche on set. Funny stuff. http://www.beyondhollywood.com/is-john-cusack-a
