For a movie I’ve never heard of, Chris Chan Lee’s second movie, the crime film “Undoing” has a pretty impressive cast. “Undoing” stars Sung Kang (Han from “Tokyo Drift”), Kelly Hu (”The Scorpion King”), and Russell Wong (”Romeo Must Die”), and is set in Los Angeles’ Koreatown. In the crime drama, Kang plays Samuel, a former gangster who returns after a mysterious absence to reconcile the death of his best friend exactly one year ago.

The film’s official site has a longer description of the plot:

One year after the death of his best friend, Sam Kim returns to Los Angeles determined to find redemption from the past. His mentor and only friend, Don, is a retired gangster with a parallel desire to leave the former world behind. But as Sam tries to balance revenge with reconciliation, he is drawn into the shadowy world he left behind. Can Sam undo his mistakes before losing what he came back to save?

“Undoing” opened in limited release November 30th, but chances are if you don’t live in LA or New York, you have never heard of it.
