Check Out a New Batch of RoboCop Images

José Padilha’s “RoboCop” will be patrolling the streets in an effort to keep mankind safe next week, but until then, grab an eyeful of some new images from the reboot. Looks like ol Robo, as only his very best friends call him (or VBFF for short) goes through a number of changes, from the familiar silver to the slick black shade.

In RoboCop, the year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

Starring Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

Killing creeps this February 12th.

        Well can’t be any dumber than the original. I know it has a lot of fans, but it doesn’t require a great deal of brain power.

          80’s movies required very little brain power in general. Just required you to check your brain at the door and have a good time. Now everyone wants to nitpick the logic of everything. if we did that back in the day we’d have torn apart every film. Just have fun people!!!

          The original wasn’t “smart” in the sense that you needed brain power to figure out its plot, but it was “smart” in the sense that it had loads of sly satirical humor that wasn’t really done back in 1987. It’s also one of the funniest movie I’ve ever seen even to this day.
