A New Poster and Trailer for Friday the 13th Remake

Written by Nix | December 4th, 2008 | 0 Comments |

You can’t keep a good killing machine down, especially if he has a machete to work with, which explains why Jason Voorhees is back to hack some horny teens courtesy of New Line Cinema and the boyos over at Platinum Dunes. The 2009 remake stars Jared Padalecki, one half of the Supernatural brotherhood, and is directed by Marcus Nispel, who directed Platinum Dunes’ remake of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”. If the trailers are any indication, this is sure to be good horny teen hacking fun. If you’re into that sort of thing, that is. Heck, they were even kind enough to throw in a Token Black Guy just to lend some sass to the white people spam count! How cute.

Unstoppable masked killer Jason Voorhees returns to kill more promiscuous teens in this contemporary remake of the classic horror movie. Whitney (Amanda Righetti), Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), Trent (Travis VanWinkle), and the other counslers at Camp Crystal Lake find themselves hunted down by a machete weilding maniac known as Jason Voorhees (Derek Mears). Meanwhile Whitney’s brother Clay (Jared Padalecki) shows up looking for her, after she goes missing.

Starring Jared Padalecki, Danielle Panabaker, Amanda Righetti, Travis Van Winkle, Derek Mears, Aaron Yoo, Arlen Escarpeta, Julianna Guill, Willa Ford, and directed by Marcus Nispel.

Jason’s hacking ways re-commences February 13, 2009.
