A Pair of Hunger Games: Catching Fire Character Portraits

Caesar in The Hunger Games - Catching Fire (2013) Movie Portrait

What do the folks of the Capitol do in their free time? Dress up in their Sunday best and take fashionable portraits, perhaps. At least if these two new character “portraits” are to be believed. These are two of many to come, I suspect, including the three main characters Katniss, Peeta, and Gale. Or maybe not Gale. It’s not like the poor guy ever gets the chance to dress up, being stuck in District 12 while Katniss goes out and have fun and all.

Until the rest of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” cast get their portraits taken, here are Caesar Flickerman (Stanly Tucci) and Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) looking purty.

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

“Catching Fire” stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Willow Shields, Stanley Tucci, Paula Malcomson, Sam Claflin, and is directed by Francis Lawrence.

Rebelling this November 22, 2013.
