This is interesting. Check out a new trailer and TV spot from South Korea (I’m guessing North Korea doesn’t get their own specially made movie trailers, natch) for Jon Chu’s upcoming “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”. The two new videos feature quite a bit more of Byung-hun Lee’s Storm Shadow. Okay, so not that much more, but more than you’ve see in previous trailers/TV spots. (Lee is not just Korean, but a pretty big movie star in Korea, FYI.)
Now the interesting part? Towards the end of both vids, it sure looks like that’s Storm Shadow talking with Bruce Willis’ Joe Colton in a friendly manner in the old guy’s kitchen (or house). Is it just me or do I get a “they just teamed up” vibe from that brief scene?
In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.
Also starring Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Stevenson, Ray Park, Joseph Mazzello, Arnold Vosloo, Elodie Yung, Walton Goggins, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, D.J. Cotrona, and Matt Gerald.
Grabbing that rocket launcher this March 29, 2013.
