I can see how, if you haven’t read the Suzanne Collins’ trilogy of books, you might not be all that impressed by everything you’ve seen from Francis Lawrence’s “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” so far, including the first teaser trailer (included above if you missed it the first time ’round). The movie really does feel like what it actually is — a holdover for the final book, “Mockingjay”, which has since been split up into two parts (hey, they call it show business for a reason, ya know).
Of course, it probably doesn’t help that the promos don’t seem to be showing any action sequences from the Arena, where the main characters are once again forced to compete in. It’s like they’re saving that part of the movie for future promos or something. Or maybe they’re saving it for the second trailer, which is debuting this Saturday over at Yahoo.
Until then, here are the latest two pics from the movie, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, with Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland.
The kids do it again this November 22nd 2013.
(Yeah, not exactly mind-blowing stuff if you have no references for what’s going on here — i.e. have read the book. Hell, I’ve read the books (purely for research purposes, mind you) and the images I’ve seen of the film so far are incredibly underwhelming.)
