A Script Review of The Prince of Persia Movie

Uber producer Jerry Bruckheimer’s latest would-be blockbuster is a movie adaptation of the videogame “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time”, and rumor has it that Michael Bay is on board as director. I’ve played the game on a PC once or twice, but didn’t find it all that interesting. I’m interested in the movie version, though, because I think, if done right, it could be a pretty groovy epic swordplay movie. Anyways, the guy over at LatinoReview has seen the script, and they have a review of it on their site now. Their verdict: It’s good, and the script is full of sure-to-be thrilling parkour sequences.

Wait, what’s parkour? You can run off and watch “Banlieue 13″, or you can read a description of it below:

Parkour a physical art of French origin, the aim of which is to move from point A to point B as efficiently and quickly as possible, using principally the abilities of the human body. It is meant to help one overcome obstacles, which can be anything in the surrounding environment “” from branches and rocks to rails and concrete walls “” so Parkour can be practiced in both rural and urban areas.

But anyways, the reviewer seemed to like the script (he calls it “one hell of a scipt”). You can read the rest of his review here.

More about the movie/game:

Game, set in 9th century medieval Persia, tells the story of how a young adventurous prince who uncovers a dangerous artifact in a remote mountain kingdom and with the help of an enemy princess, must stop a despot from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy all mankind .
