Adrianne Palicki Would have EVENTUALLY Worn those Star Spangled Shorts…

If this shot from the not-gonna-happen TV show’s sets is any indication. The picture was tweeted by one Christopher Cooley (h/t Bleeding Cool) who captions the pic:

Adrianne Palicki’s Full Wonder Woman costume revealed! (the lynda carter booty shorts version)

As you can see, Adrianne Palicki’s Wonder Woman would have eventually ditched those cotton/whatever leggings we’ve seen her wearing in all the set pictures, and slip on her, er, iconic shorts.

Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing this on the airwaves anytime soon, since NBC has passed on the David E. Kelley show.

    Goddamn shame.

This franchise had no business being a damn TV show anyway. A feature film, yes. Fuck goddamn TV shows.

The pants actually looked better. That belt looks horrible with those shorts.

Don’t know about fashion, but I know I’m happy the show is not going to happen. didn’t look good.

A few things. First of all I’m glad the show was shelved. WW should be done as a feature film as a DC/WB tentpole film. They need someone with the right blend of physicallity, stoic beauty and acting ability (this one was way too smiley!) This outfit, while better than the ones that we first saw, is atrocious! It is good for a fan made costume that should be worn on the Comic Con floor but as a professional costume for a TV show, really?!?! Hopefully DC will start rolling out films for the other major DC comics characters after the inevitable success of Green Lantern, The Dark Knight Rises and The Man Of Steel. A Wonder Woman movie with a tone somewhere between TDK and Thor would be really cool. Then a Flash movie and maybe down the road a JL film.

I think that the tone/direction of a WW movie should mirror that of how Capt America appears to be (at least through the trailers). The movie should be basically an origin story starting with her birth from clay to her growing up with her powers from the Gods to the crash landing of Capt. Steve Trevor to her friendship and subsequent WW competition with Artemis and should logically end at her entering the Man’s World.

As for the costume, it’s not bad but definitely the wrong material was used. That shiny stuff just doesn’t wear well and she suffers because of that. I mean if Kim Kardashian can pull it that look with a homemade outfit, you would think that TV costume designers could do better.

This would have helped…but the tone and ideas for the show are the real reasons it’s best this won’t happen. Maybe DC will eventually be able to bring WW to the big screen.
