Alexandre Aja to Direct Actioner Contractor
The Contractor Movie — By Nix on March 12, 2009
In the future, the U.S. Government is so broke that it can’t even afford to fight wars, so instead it hires elite squads of operators to do its fighting. Hey, beats getting drafted, right? That is the premise of Alexandre Aja’s new movie, “The Contractor”, which the “Mirrors” director has set up next to direct for Frenchie film company Gaumont after he wraps the “Piranha 3-D” for Dimension Films.
Variety says Ian Jeffers, who is currently hacking his way through a “Castlevania” rewrite, will be tackling the script for “The Contractor”, while Alexandra Milchan will produce for Gaumont.
Obviously the idea of the U.S. Government being so broke that it can no longer fight wars is ridiculous. Isn’t that why we keep Dick Cheney’s old buddies at Halliburton around? Besides, we have The Messiah in the White House at the moment. He can walk on water, you know.
