Alvin and the Chipmunks Live-Action Movie Trailer

Written by Nix | November 7th, 2007 | 0 Comments |

Okay, I’ll confess. I didn’t know they were making a live-action movie version of the “Alvin and the Chipmunks” cartoon. Then again, maybe I did know and just blocked it out of my head. You know, how a child who witnesses her parents being slaughtered by a masked maniac will block it out in order to avoid the pain of the memory? That could very well be it. If you think about it from an objective point of view, it makes sense to do a live-action “Alvin and the Chipmunks” movie. The kids will just go nuts over this, and DVD sales will be through the roof. So why not make an innocuous movie version of, um, sinking chipmunks? Anyhoo, the trailer has arrived online for your viewing pleasure.

Head over to Yahoo! Movies to see the trailer now. I’ll post a YouTube or DailyMotion version when one becomes available. I.e. later tomorrow.

Based on the 1980s cartoon series about a music group of chipmunks comprised of mischievous group leader Alvin; tall and quiet Simon; and chubby, impressionable Theodore.

The human element is provided by Jason Lee and newcomer Cameron Richardson.
