Amanda Seyfried Goes Deep into Linda Lovelace Biopic

The former actress and person that was once Lindsay Lohan must be loving this news. Even with all her troubles, Lindsay Lohan was once considered to star in a Linda Lovelace biopic by director Matthew Wilder called “Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story”, a role that eventually went to Malin Akerman.

In another Lovelace flick that is being developed, Variety reports that “In Time” actress Amanda Seyfried is in talks to play adult film star Linda Lovelace in Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman’s drama “Lovelace.” Peter Sarsgaard, who was last seen as the villain in “Green Lantern,” is in early talks to portray her pornographer husband Chuck Traynor.

For those that don’t know about the real Linda Lovelace, she’s the infamous star of the 1972 porn flick “Deep Throat,” which is one of the highest-grossing independent films of all time. She was just a Florida schoolgirl named Linda Boreman when she met Traynor, a would-be filmmaker who transformed her into a world-famous sex star.

After years of being victimized, Lovelace quit the business and divorced Traynor, who she accused of taking advantage of her naivete and coercing her into porn and prostitution.

Seyfried’s “Lovelace” is expected to start production in January, the same month that helmer Matthew Wilder’s rival project, “Inferno,” is slated to go before cameras.

Rival films dealing with the same theme? That’s insanity! (Case in point: Those two or three upcoming Snow White films).

The Epstein/Friedman Linda Lovelace film is written by W. Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin which is based on Eric Danville’s book “The Complete Linda Lovelace.”
