The cast of the “Stepfather” remake continues to blossom. Bloody-Disgusting has news that Amber Heard, star of the in limbo “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane” and the MTV-ish “Fight Club” for teens wannabe “Never Back Down”, will join the movie, about a psycho stepfather and, um, his psychotic ways.
We’ve learned of some additional casting for Sony Screen Gems’ remake of The Stepfather. Amber Heard (All the Boys Love Mandy Lane), Paige Turco (Invincible), Braeden LeMasters, Skyler Samuels and Jon Tenney (Tales from the Crypt) will join the previously announced Dylan Walsh, Sela Ward, Penn Badgley, Adrianne Palicki, Chris Meloni and Sherry Stringfield in the film that wraps production April 15 in Los Angeles, CA. The story centers on a teenage boy (Badgley) who discovers his soon-to-be stepfather isn’t all he appears. In fact, the man who fell in love with his mother (Sela Ward), might be a psycho who murdered his previous family.
Psycho stepfathers. What will Hollywood think of next? Psycho stepmothers?
