And Soon the Darkness Gets Urban

Former “Chronicles of Riddick” star Karl Urban and Oscar nominee Adriana Barraza (”Babel”) have joined the cast of the horror remake of “And Soon the Darkness”, which will star Amber Heard (who will also produce) and “Cloverfield’s” Odette Yustman as imperiled American tourists in Argentina. Very hot, sexy imperiled tourists, I might add.

THR adds:

The Argentina-set thriller follows two American girls on a bike trip in a remote part of the country. When one of them disappears, the other must find her before darkness falls and her worst fears are realized. The film is shooting on location in Argentina; the original was set in France.

Marcos Efron will make his directorial debut on the remake, which is based on a 1970 French thriller set in France.

No word on either Urban or Barraza’s roles in the film.
