And Then There were Seven … The Avengers Assembled!

Marvel has released the final and seventh character poster for Joss Whedon’s upcoming “The Avengers”, featuring the Hulk. Check out the not-so jolly Green Goliath below, and the complete banner poster above (click to enlarge). Now all that’s left is the high-resolution teaser trailer that was shown in front of “Captain America: The First Avenger”, which I suspect will be forthcoming sometime next week, if not earlier…

Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in “Iron Man,” “The Incredible Hulk,” “Iron Man 2,” “Thor,” and “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Marvel’s The Avengers” is the super hero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.

“The Avengers” stars Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, and is directed by Joss Whedon.

The assembly begins May 4, 2012.

Here are all seven, in order…

why don’t these super hero’s kill all the lobbyist’s in DC

and throw all the corporate ceo’s and bankers off of tall buildings

      Ummm Robot, look again.
There is no one in underwear you moron, or anything remotely close to it.

If you hate comics, and comic books and movies based on them why are you here?
You seem to think there is no value in escapism and everyone should worry only about serious things all the time.
      Your life must suck.

That isnot the avengers, that is the ULTIMATES !

    • http://www.originalgeekspodcast.com/ Dedpool

Actually its a cross between the two. Ultimate Marvel spun out of the Spiderman and X-men movies sucsess and so Marvel wanted to tell stories about the heroes in a modern setting withou all the continuity baggage. The Marvel Studios films are a cross between the classic Marvel characters and stories and the Ultimate universes versions. So the Avengers is going to be closer to the ultimates but with some of the classic flare! Thes posters are amaIng and the banner is getting put on my PS3!

I certainly do not remember The Avengers line up ever looking like this. SHIELD isn’t part of the avengers is it? it’s a goverment entity. I remember thor, iron man, capt america and possibly hawkeye.

I think i missed the entire Ultimates Universe. The only alternate universe i remember is the future and the battle with the Sentinels. I think Bishop came out of that Universe. There was also a great storyline with Apocalypse and the Four Horseman which was really good. That was involving the X-Men i think.

I totally missed out this Ultimates thing.

Yeah, I think one day they just decided they just wanted to create a separate Marvel Universe so they could tinker with the origins without repercussions, and so they did. It was smart on their part, much better than what D.C. does every other year, which is to FUBAR everything over and over again.
