Ang Lee’s Taking Woodstock Trailer
Taking Woodstock (2009) Movie, Videos — By Nix on March 26, 2009
You gotta give Ang Lee credit: the guy sure doesn’t like to be pigeonholed. Who else could go from a Chinese martial arts movie to a comic book movie to a drama about gay cowboys? Lee’s latest is “Taking Woodstock”, which apparently takes a light-hearted, comedic look at the creation of the Woodstock concert back when hippies still roamed the land. You know, the dark ages.
A man working at his parents’ motel in the Catskills inadvertently sets in motion the generation-defining concert in the summer of 1969.
The film stars Demetri Martin, who premiered the trailer during his comedy show on Comedy Central. It co-stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan , Emile Hirsch, Liev Schreiber, Paul Dano, Katherine Waterston, Eugene Levy, Kelli Garner, and Imelda Staunton. Ang Lee directs.
Smell the hippies August 14.
Update: Swap the TV trailer with a better version.
