Anne Hathaway’s Passengers Trailer and Images

Written by Nix | September 1st, 2008 | 1 Comment |

Is it a horror movie? A tale of supernatural suspense? A psychological thriller where nothing is what it seems? Heck, who knows, but it sure looks interesting, in a, “Wow, it kinda looks interesting, I guess,” sort of way. One thing’s for sure: Poor Andre Braugher, one of the best actors working today, is still being relegated to Exposition Guy duty. Anyways, here’s the first trailer and images from Anne Hathaway’s new thriller, “Passengers”. She plays a therapist (sure is young for a therapist, but let’s just go with it) who has to help some plane crash survivors, one of which seems to have developed the ability to see and talk to dead people. Don’t you hate it when that happens?

After a plane crash, a young therapist, Claire (Anne Hathaway), is assigned by her mentor (Andre Braugher) to counsel the flight’s five survivors. When they share their recollections of the incident — which some say include an explosion that the airline claims never happened — Claire is intrigued by Eric (Patrick Wilson), the most secretive of the passengers. Just as Claire’s professional relationship with Eric — despite her better judgment — blossoms into a romance, the survivors begin to disappear mysteriously, one by one. Claire suspects that Eric may hold all the answers and becomes determined to uncover the truth, no matter the consequences.

Starring Anne Hathaway, Patrick Wilson, Clea DuVall, David Morse, Dianne Wiest, Andre Braugher, William B. Davis, Chelah Horsdal, and Ryan Robbins. Rodrigo García (”Nine Lives”) directs.

It combines “Fearless” with “The Sixth Sense.” Sort of. Hey, when a guy starts seeing his own dog from years ago, I’m ready to see that film:)
