Looks like the “Conan” boys are getting their ducks in a roll. Previously, we already reported that “Hellboy’s” Ron Perlman has replaced Mickey Rourke to play Conan’s dad in Marcus Nispel’s reboot of the franchise. Now comes word that former “G.I. Joe” soldier Said Taghmaoui (aka Breaker) has joined his fellow “Joe” grunt Rachel Nichols in the film. Meanwhile, as previously reported, Stephen Lang (“Avatar”) has now officially signed on as the movie’s main bad guy, an unpleasant fellow by the name of Khalar Singh.
Taghmaoui will play the head honcho of a group of thieves who is saved by Conan (the very buff Jason Momoa) and later offers our hero aid as repayment. Lang’s Khalar Singh is one of those really bad dudes, this one in search of a queen whose blood will bring life to the demonic minions of a long-lost god. Or some ridiculous such. Rachel Nichols will play the queen’s protector, thus putting her in league with Conan to stop Singh’s evil plans.
Shooting on the reboot commences this week in Bulgaria
