I’m sad to hear people bad-mouthing this project. DBZ fans have been waiting for years for the live action movie to come out. It’s so hyped up in all of our minds, that nothing can live up to our expectations, so why not stop complaining about it, sit back, and enjoy the ride?

I totally agree Monkery.
To some people, it will not be a good DBZ movie, but it will be a GOOD movie.
That is what is important to them, they are trying to expand the fan base for DBZ, maybe for later projects…..?

Why on Earth would anyone who has knowledge of what Dragonball is NOT bad mouth this movie?
Some people just have to defend every crime Hollywood exacts against human culture.

All I read everywhere else is bad mouthing, the true fans will want to see it.
They will scrimp and save every penny they can find to go.

What if I’ve seen 2 hours of it? Can I express my opinion then? No? Gosh, then I guess I shouldn’t express my opinion about every movie trailer EVER that I’ve seen, seeing as how I’ve only seen a minute, or in some cases, only 30 seconds of them. Whoa. Flame war much? I’m just excited to see something actually happening on this project. I remember, back in 2000, when they were gonna have Jackie Chan play Vegeta. That was eight years ago but daaaaaaaang right?

I agree with darth Acer the film is happening doesn’t that mean all you dragonball fans should be happy and excited that HOLLYWOOD have decided to put money into this project, so come on. the film isn’t going to be as good or anywhere near the same ball park as the series but it will be good is your a fan to see something liek this. I think they should do a final fantasy advent children style of film but oh well

All I can say is that I never really cared for DBZ or GT, original DB is where the awesomeness is. To see it put into film is fine. Wish it had a Titanic sized budget but meh, oh well. At least it’s FINALLY happening. I think I’ll just download it, then if it’s any good I’ll pay to see it.
I can GUARANTEE at least one good thing about this! LESS FAT GOKU COSPLAYERS! With this normal sized guy playing Goku it may very well be the cure for the disease that is the obligatory fat Goku cosplayer at EVERY anime convention ever. Tell you what though, last year at Anime Central I saw THE BEST Hercule I have EVER seen. OMFG Fox could never cast anybody better than this dude I saw at ACen. I seriously did a double take, walked up to him & bowed before his awesomeness he even SOUNDED like Hercule. Albeit the English dub guy but still it was totally bad ass. Anyway I digress, Kudos to Grey_Fox. I agree whole heartedly. It’s not gonna be the DB movie we all imagined, but dammit it’s happening! I mean how many of you assholes boycotted X-men because Wolverine wasn’t a 5′3″ guy wearing yellow spandex? Not many I bet. Geez, even if this movie goes out on a limb & veers of into a wall with it’s source material Like the X series did by X-men: Last Stand can you honestly say you won’t see it? IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING! IT WILL NOT BE AS GOOD AS YOU IMAGINED, you’ve been imagining this for YEARS! GET OVER IT! It might be a good movie, even if it isn’t our beloved Dragon Ball.
