German Goddess/actress Antje Traue has joined the cast of Legendary Pictures’ fantasy epic “The Seventh Son”. The film is, of course, the first of what Legendary is hoping will jumpstart a new franchise for them. (I know, you’ve never heard that before, right?)
Based on the series of young adult novels called “The Spook’s Apprentice” by Joseph Delaney, “The Seventh Son” will chronicle “a teen who’s the seventh son of a seventh son, and learns about wizardry from a forbidding spook.” Jeff Bridges is laying that “forbidding spook”.
Traue, last seen in the sci-fi/horror film “Pandorum” and the upcoming “Man of Steel” for director Zack Snyder, will join a cast that already includes Ben Barnes (“Chronicles of Narnia”), Kit Harington (“Game of Thrones”), Julianne Moore (“Chloe”), and Alicia Vikander (“Anna Karenina”).
Sergey Bodrov (“Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan”) is directing.
