Apparently Batman vs. Superman is Already Shooting (This Month in Los Angeles)

Superman and Batman by Jae LeeWell, if he’s going to make their 2015 release date, Zack Snyder should just be starting production on his untitled Batman/Superman movie pretty soon.

How about October 19th?

Turns out, the film is already scheduled to shoot, with a scene scheduled for this October 19th at the football stadium of East Los Angeles College in Los Angeles. The campus newspaper (via Latino-Review) reported the news so the college’s student body could show up and be in the movie as extras. Gotham City extras.

According to the newspaper, the stadium will be transformed into Gotham City University’s home stadium, hosting a faux football game between the hometown university and “rival” Metropolis State University during half-time of an actual game. Makes sense, if we’re looking at linking up Gotham City and Metropolis.

It apparently won’t be all that big of a scene in the film, since the paper says “the film will shoot three takes of three plays during halftime,” with the cameras “capturing the actors and crowd’s reactions.” And they will apparently get it done during half-time, which is usually 30 minutes or thereabouts.

I’m guessing second-unit work background work?

Snyder is directing the film, which is scheduled for 2015 with Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Bats.
