This is a very shallow movie review od what is a quintessentially epochal japanese movie. The movie captures the time of change during the making of the movie between one elder culture into the new centennial culture in Japan, and in fact around the globe. It also captures the sense of loss and disorientation when invididuals try, for completely altruistic reasons, to reach across that barrier. A truly moving and revolutionary film.
