Army Ranger vs. Vampires in The Bleeding. WHO YA GOT???

Horror Movie News, The Bleeding (2009) Movie — By Nix on March 24, 2008

Vinnie Jones, Michael Matthias, Michael Madsen, rapper DMX (pictured, left) and Armand Assante are feeling the love, vampire love, by joining the cast of “The Bleeding”, which is being described as a “horror actioner”. Meaning, don’t expect to be scared, but expect to see some action ala “Blade”. Mind you, I don’t know if it’ll be as cool as “Blade”, but the horror, such as it is, will be on that level. Charles Picerni will direct from Lance Lane’s script.

More:

Story centers on an ex-Army Ranger searching for the killer of his parents who discovers a family of vampires in a former chemical weapons factory-turned-nightclub.

Shooting for the film is to begin next month in North Carolina. The cast also includes William McNamara, Pittsburgh Slim, Rachelle Leah and Kat Von D, of the TV show LA Ink.

  • T. says:

Yeah, The Bleeding is filming in Wilmington, NC. Which is where I live. I spent 4 days on set as an extra and have friends that spent more time than that. Some of the dailies I saw looked pretty cool but the director is kinda an idiot and it’s got to be the most unorganized film set ever. So, I don’t know what the finished product is going to look like.

I was on set for 2 days, first time extra. It was pretty cool but some of the lines these guys have! Can u say not great. Who ever wrote some of them might need to go on strike. Story great, lines not so great. They sounded really fake. But that’s movies fake. I had a great time, just time consuming.

I was on set for The Bleeding and it seems like it might be a pretty gruesome movie. and just like T said, very unorganized. Hell, I didn’t even get paid yet so I would love to what’s good!! Otherwise, it was a great experience bein an extra and to see all the actors and how everything goes behind scenes. When it comes out, I’ma check it out. It might actually be a pretty good horror film.

  • Chicken Soup says:

This was a movie that went through crew members like underwear. Moody people make for bad work partners. But, I like movies to come to town! We could use a few productions to help our low income economy. Most of the pay rate is the same today, as it was 22 years ago. Really! What living wage is there?
This is definately a high action film and the stunts are everywhere, including some T&A to boot. Too bad many folks are still waiting (a month later) to get paid. It will come so don’t worry. :)

  • Traffic Genius says:

I was on the set, but only to keep the traffic out of the picture. Saw some cool explosions, got a nice vid on my cell phone. They flipped a tractor trailer, blew up some chevy suburbans, and wrecked some motorcycles. The extras were dressed in howard stern wigs. It all looked pretty goofy. But all in all it may be worth checking out at least.

  • John says:

I know the director. He’s a hack. Very talentless as a director. Can’t get work anymore as a stuntman because he is too old. Scientology freak. Yells at everyone, including his own wife. This movie is going to suck big time.

    • Moonface says:

Hey John…I don’t think you KNOW the director because your statements are false and basically just show how jealous you are of this amazing man. He can get work as a stunt coordinator and stuntman any day of the week…and can perform better than most of the young guys. He is a legend in the action business, oh and BTW, he never yelled at his wife…he adores her and she would yell back at him if he did. He doesn’t yell at EVERYONE, only idiots who cost the production thousands of dollars…oh! Maybe you were one of those idiots. He also not a Scientologist!

Dude, your just evil so go take a flying hick!

    • Jon says:

Hey Jon Warner! Regardless of how this film turns out, you’re just a sore and ungrateful wannabe! To bad mouth someone’s work after that person enabled you to get a feature film credit as a writer…You’re a piece of work! If they gave Oscars to opportunistic users, get ready for a golden statue! Basically, just suck it!

  • WhoGotPiad says:

This was the single worst film to ever come through Wilmington. The bad wigs, crappy blood effects and very bad acting. Vinnie Jones never even got to rehearse his final sword fight until he walked onto set to shoot it. The producers were big idiots, nice guys but very dumb. I heard one of them got into the business because he has a famous dad, what a surprise. This movie is gonna suck ass.

    • Moonface says:

Okay, I agree the producers are idiots and yes only got the job because of Daddy but Vinnie Jones DID get to rehearse the sword fight several times at a local gym, where apparently you didn’t see but I was there, so I know the truth. His stunt double rehearse it for weeks…get your facts straight buddy! BTW, this film may or may not suck but it gave a lot work to a lot people in Wilmington…which helps you too…don’t be so critical of the hand that feeds you!
