From the guy who gave us “Training Day” and “End of Watch”, for some reason I expected director David Ayer’s “Sabotage” to be a bit more complicated than just an old-fashioned shoot’em-up, which it looks like it is. I could be wrong, of course, but the trailer seems to back up my initial impression. Mind you, I’m a fan of old-fashioned shoot’em-ups, but not a lot of people are, if box office receipts for Arnold’s past few movies not including the word “Expendables” in the title are any indication.
Anyways, take a look at a new poster for “Sabotage”. That’s such a generic title. They mind as well call it “Blow’em Up Good”, or some such.
In “Sabotage”, Arnold Schwarzenegger leads an elite DEA task force that takes on the world’s deadliest drug cartels. When the team successfully executes a high-stakes raid on a cartel safe house, they think their work is done – until, one-by-one, the team members mysteriously start to be eliminated. As the body count rises, everyone is a suspect.
Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Olivia Williams, Mireille Enos, Sam Worthington, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Joe Manganiello, Max Martini, and Josh Holloway.
Arnold is back next year, April 11, 2014.
