Aronofsky’s The Wrestler Poster

Mickey Rourke has sure seen better days. But then again, maybe that’s the point of this poster for Darren Aronofsky’s “The Wrestler”, one of those movies that will either make you want to slit your wrist while you’re watching it in the theaters, or come out of the darkness happy to be alive. I can’t tell where Aronofsky is going with this, but let’s hope it’s not the 100% depressing shit that I suspect it to be. Anyways, here’s a new poster for the movie, which features Mickey Rourke apparently in the middle of getting his ass kicked in the ring.

The wrestler is the story of retired professional wrestler, Randy “The Ram” Robinson (played by Mickey Rourke), making his way through the independent circuit, trying to get back in the game for one final showdown with his former rival.

Starring Evan Rachel Wood, Marisa Tome, Mickey Rourke, Judah Friedlander, Mark Margolis, Giovanni Roselli, Todd Barry, Vernon Campbell, Wass Stevens, Gregg Bello, Ernest Miller, and directed by Darren Aronofsky.
