Kelly Hu at the Disney/ABC All-Star Party
I hate to say it, Kelly Hu fans, but judging by the lack of buzz or talk surrounding Kelly’s new ABC sitcom “In case of Emergency”, I’m going to guess that the show isn’t doing very well, which usually translates into an early exit from the network’s airtime. Meaning all you Kelly Hu fans should tape all those “In Case of Emergency” episodes while you still can, because I don’t think you’re going to get the chance later on. Sorry, guys, but that’s network TV for ya. Here are some new Kelly Hu for ya.
Lisa Ling
Lisa Ling used to be on “The View” during the good ol days — you know, before they let the Loudmouth Behemoth (aka Rosie O’Donnell) loose on that poor show and its poor, poor audience. Lisa, a Chinese-American, is now host of “National Geographic Ultimate Explorer”, which takes her all around the world doing actual journalistic work, and has appeared on Oprah. By the way, why did she leave “The View”? Apparently because co-host Joy Behar is a racist beeyatch. What is up with that show? Didn’t O’Donnell just totally insulted Chinese people a few days ago?
Kelly Hu “In Case of Emergency” Promo
A single image of Kelly Hu promoting her new sitcom “In Case of Emergency”. I know, Kelly Hu and a sitcom? Hmm, I’ll definitely have to check this one out just out of curiosity. What’s it about? “A group of thirtysomethings who all went to the same high school are reunited and realize their lives didn’t turn out as planned.” It’s supposed to be a comedy, I think. It co-stars David Arquette, Jonathan Silverman, Lori Loughlin, Greg Germann, and Nicholas Roget-King. Well at least they’re not making Kelly do martial arts on the show, so she’s definitely stretching her acting muscles.
“Bones’” Michaela Conlin
One reason to watch Fox’s hit show “Bones” is for Chinese-Irish actress Michaela Conlin, who plays Angela on the show. Okay, so the show isn’t all bad, either. It’s actually pretty damn good, with some great stories and character interactions. But where was I? Oh right, Michaela Conlin is also in it. And she’s quite cute.
Maggie Q.: Action Star?
Her break-through role in “Mission Impossible 3″ may have put Maggie Q. on the map in Hollywoodland, but it might also have stereotyped her in action roles. Take her upcoming role in the latest “Die Hard” sequel, and this photoshoot, which protrays Maggie Q. in a variety of “action” poses. Now granted, these action poses are also highly artsy fartsy and fashion-minded, but you get my point. She still looks hot, though.
Maggie Q. Joins “The Tourist” Cast
Man, I’m glad to see Maggie Q. getting her due in Hollywood. After the kinda failure of “Mission Impossible 3″ at the box office, I was a little worried she wouldn’t get anymore chance at the Hollywood brass ring, but I’m glad I was wrong. Here’s new that Maggie Q. isn’t just going to be in the latest “Die Hard” movie, but she’s also been cast alongside Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor in “The Tourist”. The film, described as a sexual thriller, “is about an accountant (McGregor) introduced to a mysterious sex club by his lawyer friend (Jackman). He soon becomes the prime suspect in a woman’s disappearance,” according to Variety.
Kelly Hu Hotness Overload
Quite possibly some of the most gorgeous pictures of actress Kelly Hu I have come across. And no, she’s not even naked. Well, actually, she’s topless in a couple of photos, but nothing is showing. And you know what? That makes it even more sexy. Plus, there are a lot of really great close-up shots of Kelly Hu’s lovely face. That smile of hers is captivating, indeed. You can never get too much of Kelly Hu.
Ming Na at the One Community, One Cause Event
Ming Na is currently starring in FOX’s “Vanished”, but to be honest with you, I don’t know how long that’s going to last. The show never looked that good to me from the beginning; it seems so generic and kind of by-the-numbers lame. Anyways, even if the show does get cancelled, I’m sure Ming Na will find work elsewhere, what with her hefty resume and all. Here’s Ming Na at the One Community, One Cause Event sponsored by Myspace.com.
Kelly Hu at the EW Photo Party
Hawaiian actress Kelly Hu attending the Entertainment Weekly Photo Issue Party. I’m assuming the “Photo Issue” is an issue of EW dedicated to photos, which is kind of odd as the magazine is loaded with pictures already. I mean, you don’t give people who reads about celebrities a lot of words; they love pictures. But I digress. Kelly needs to stay away from these parties and do a movie already. I haven’t seen her on the big screen in ages.
Yunjin Kim at the “Lost” Season 3 Premiere
American-Korean actress Yunjin Kim at the “Lost” Season 3 premiere. I know what you’re thinking, “What, they have premieres for TV shows nowadays?” Apparently yes. This one was probably held in Hawaii (where the TV show is shot), but don’t hold me to it, I’m just guessing by all the sand and, well, the beach setting where they’re holding the premiere. In any case, Yunjin Kim looks nice, if just a tad too thin…
Lucy Liu Saturday Night Live Promos
I’m not sure when these pictures are from, but they are of “Kill Bill” star Lucy Liu doing some “Saturday Night Live” promotional photoshoot. These really are nothing special, but I just like posting new pictures of the lovely Lucy Liu. There’s not enough Asian actresses who gets treated like she’s just another actress, and not an Asian actress, and Lucy is one of those people.
Maggie Q. is Red Hot
Hawaiian/Vietnamese/American Actress Maggie Q. has the distinction of being extremely tall, hot, and at the same time, flat-chested. Basically, she has what amounts to mesquito bumps where her breasts should be. Mind you, not that that’s a particularly bad thing, especially when she’s, well, pretty hot in just about every other respects. Check her out in “Mission: Impossible 3″, her big American break, if you haven’t already. She has a supporting role, but damn is she fine. It’s too bad “MI3″ wasn’t as big a hit as everyone expected it to be; Maggie’s career would have blown up if it had been.
Brenda Song is Suite in Pink
Brenda Song, co-star of the Disney show “The Suite Life of Zach and Cody” and the made-for-Disney movie “Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior”, caught outside in a pink dress ensemble. In the show “Suite Life” Song plays a spoiled rich girl patterned after Paris Hilton named London. No, really. Mind you, not that I ever watched the show, but I sometimes stumble across it. Yeah, that’s the ticket…
Kelly Hu at the WB Emmy After-Party
After scouring the Internet looking for pictures of Kelly Hu at the 2006 Emmys, I didn’t find any. Fortunately these, of Kelly Hu attending the Warner Brothers Emmy After-Party showed up. Kelly looks fantastic, but with that body, she’d look good in just about everything. This velvet (?) dress is a stunner, and so is the woman.
Tia Carrere at the TV Guide Emmy Party
A red hot Tia Carrere attending the TV Guide Emmy Party. (I’m guess this is the after Emmy party, or maybe during? Not that it matters.) Tia looks amazing. In fact, the only thing wrong with these pictures? The fact that she’s standing next to Tom Sizemore, who has been known to punch out women every now and then. Other than that…
Ming-Na Wen at the FOX TV Emmy Party
A brown leather clad Ming Na Wen, star of Fox’s new show “Vanished”, at the Fox TV Emmy Party. Fox had a pretty big night at the Emmys as I heard it, with “24’s” Season 5 taking home some nice hardware. Ming Na is probably hoping “Vanished” gets to that kind of level, judging by all the hype and “24″ comparisons Fox is making with her show. All I can say is, it’s about time we had an Asian on TV who isn’t a doctor or a forensics technician. Good luck!
Bai Ling at the EW Pre-Emmys Party
Here’s Bai Ling, at the EW (Entertainment Weekly, a entertainment industry trade) pre-Emmys Awards show party, not looking nearly as nutty as we usually think of her as being. How disappointing, I know. This year’s Emmys will be hosted once again by Late Night’s Conan O’Brien, who did a pretty good job the last time he hosted (although I don’t remember when that is; not too long ago, though).
Ming-Na at the 2006 Teen Choice Awards
Chinese actress Ming-Na Wen, soon to be seen on the Fox action-adventure show “Vanished” (check your local listings) attending the 2006 Teen Choice Awards. Ming-Na is a pretty woman, but I don’t know about what she’s wearing here. Plus, the hair is a little, well, weird. She’s looked better, that’s for sure, but still cute.
Kelly Hu in Unleashed Magazine
New Kelly Hu pictures at least, this time in the “urban magazine for men”, Unleashed Magazine. And here I thought this was a magazine for the Jet Li movie “Unleashed”, but I digress. Here’s Kelly Hu, looking so good and ready to take off, literally. I’m not entirely sure what the whole “airplane” motif is all about, but I’m sure it’s “arty”. Or maybe she’s in a movie about airplanes? Who cares. Kelly looks hot here.
Tia Carrere Loves Animals
Tia Carrere, decked out in sexy denim, and her dog attending the Much Love Animal Rescue’s Benefit, a charity event that is self-explanatory. I’m not sure what kind of dog Tia has, but it looks, urm, tiny. But the important thing is that Tia still looks great.
