J-Pop Hottie Maki Goto

So my Japanese pop knowledge is not exactly as extensive as I would like it to be. Oh who am I kidding. I know almost nothing about Japanese pop, or as it’s more commonly known, J-pop, except for Namie Amuro, basically the only Japanese singer I have listened to and liked. So I don’t know all that much about Maki Goto, although I had previously made a post on her after spotting her photo book, a common thing in Japan, but practically non-existent here in the Western world. Anyways, Maki goto is quite the dish, and I couldn’t resist making another post for her. The girl is really hot, what can I say.

Chiaki Kuriyama Kill Bill Promos

Sure, Uma Thurman kicking all kinds of ass was one of the real treats of Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” movies, but for my money the best part was watching the tiny Japanese babe Chiaki Kuriyama swinging a heavy metal mace around like noone’s business. In the movie, Chiaki Kuriyama played the simply fabulously named Gogo Yubari, a killer Yakuza girl in schoolgirl uniform and a killer smile. Seriously, quite possibly the best part of the movie was when Gogo went toe-to-toe with Uma Thurman’s The Bride character. Great stuff, indeed. Here are some promos of Chiaki Kuriyama from “Kill Bill”.

Tokyo Singer Model Actress Sawajiri Erika

So who exactly is 21-year old Sawajiri Erika? Here’s a short bio from Wikipedia: “Her alias in her music career was Kaoru Amane, but she has recently started her own project under the name Erika. She is currently affiliated with Sony for her record label as formerly Kaoru Amane and later Erika, and Stardust Promotion for her talent agency as her real name, Erika Sawajiri, and became popular after playing a girl who suffered from an intractable disease called spinocerebellar degeneration (SCD) in the nonfiction drama ‘1 Litre of Tears’.” Got all that?

Devon Aoki is Looking Good

Devon Aoki’s movie career is taking off, with roles in major Hollywood movies ever since she burst onto the scene in a sexy turn in one of those “Fast and the Furious” movies. Since then, she’s starred in the action movie “DOA: Dead or Alive”, fought alongside Jet Li and Jason Statham in “War”, and next you can see her in the futuristic science fiction thriller “The Mutant Chronicles” and possibly in “Sin City 2″. That is, if the latter movie is ever made. If it does happen, Devon Aoki will be playing Miho, the sword-swinging Japanese assassin of Old Town. (You’ll know what I’m talking about if you’ve seen the movie or read the Frank Miller comics.) Here are some new pictures of Devon Aoki looking good.

Namie Amuro and Suite Chic “Uh Uh” Music Video

This is actually an old music video of Namie Amuro, back when she was experimenting and doing work for other musicians. She was part of the Suite Chic thingamagig from a few years ago, but that project’s one big hit, I believe, was this song “Uh uh” with Namie Amuro and a female Japanese rapper. Basically, it’s all about Namie. She looks incredibly hot in the video and the wordplay is pretty outstanding. You gotta love a woman who can roll those lyrics around like it’s nothing. Very, very impressive video overall, and the song is worth listening to a few thousand times. The video is even better. (I know, the video is all out of sync, but that’s the problem with these music videos. Just deal with it.)

Rinko Kikuchi at the 2007 Oscars

I will admit that I have no clue who Rinko Kikuchi is, but I am to find out! As it turns out, she is an Academy Award-nominated Japanese actress (for Best Supporting Actress for “Babel”), and the make-up here actually makes her look much older than she really is. The young woman is actually only 26, and is mostly unknown in the West until Alejandro González Iñárritu casted her in his movie “Babel”. She lost the Oscar to that girl from American Idol, but she probably has a better career in front of her. At least, we hope.

Yukie Nakama

If you aren’t immediately captivated by Yukie Nakama’s smile or perfectly oval shaped face, then you’re not a warm blooded man. Yuki Nakama has been in movies like “Shinobi: Heart Under Blade” and “Trick 2″, and is an actress, musician, and former idol (i.e. she used to model Japanese calendars and “picture books”). Here are some modelling pictures from her idol days.

J-Pop Star Maki Goto Photobook

The Japanese love their photobooks of beautiful women. It’s like the Western world’s version of celebrity calendars, except, well, it’s not a calendar, and it really is a photobook as there are tons of pictures in these things. Here are some selected pictures of Japanese popstar Maki Goto, who has been in various groups, including Pucchi Moni, Akagumi 4, 7nin Matsuri, Sexy 8, Gomattou and Nochiura Natsumi. Now I don’t pretend to have heard or indeed, listened to, any of these groups, but Maki sure is cute, isn’t she?

Chiaki Kuriyama: Sexy and Dangerous

Most Westerners will probably not know the name “Chiaki Kuriyama”, but they may know her if you mention “Kill Bill”. In that bloody as heck Quentin Tarantino film, the sexy Japanese actress plays the deadly schoolgirl uniform wearing assassin Gogo Yubari. You know, the girl with the chain and mace who almost does in Uma Thurman’s Bride during the film’s epic, final battle? Yep, her. Here are some great pictures of actress Chiaki Kuriyama, and why she’s so popular.

Model Jun Natsukawa

Jun Natsukawa is a Japanese idol from Tokyo, Japan. In October 2005, she released a music cd titled Himetra Trance in which she covered the theme song from the anime Cat’s Eye. She’s made an appearance on the Japanese television show Pink no Idenshi, as a schoolgirl who falls in love with her teacher; and as herself on the reality show Geirinji. She’s also been featured in a commercial for Kantan Kirei-na Fudeo. (source)

Miss Japan 2006 Kurara Chibana and Others

The lovely Miss Japan for 2006 Kurara Chibana may have lost out on the Miss Universe crown to Miss Puerto Rico, but she still remains in our heart for being one fine Asian woman. If it’s not that lean physique, it’s her Samurai outfit during the pageant that will be the most memorable. And I bet Miss Japan wouldn’t have fainted like Miss Puerto Rico did after the pageant, that’s for sure. Here are some contestants along with Kurara Chibana at the official Miss Japan 2006 pageant. I’m really not sure why the women are required to walk in high heels and two-piece bikinis while holding a store bag, but that’s the Japanese for ya.

Marie Matiko

Gorgeous Marie Matiko burst onto the scene in the Wesley Snipes action flick “The Art of War”, and has since graduated to TV roles and more movies, including the comedy “Date Movie”. She’s also created a school called Vivace for creative and artistic expression, where most of the students are Asian-Americans. Look out for Marie in the future!

Devon Aoki as Betty Boop

Japanese model/actress Devon Aoki (soon to be seen in “Dead or Alive”) does Betty Boop. It’s playful and sexy (I doubt Betty Boop was ever this sexy), and pure Devon Aoki. The second picture is the best of the bunch, but the rest ain’t all bad either.

Devon Aoki B&W Advertisement

I’m really not sure what Devon Aoki is selling here, but these appear to be advertising pictures for a product of some kind. Anyways, Devon is in black and white and on a beach somewhere, and it really brings out her freckles. I didn’t even know she had freckles until now. Go figure.

Ayumi Hamasaki

Model, television personality, and singer Ayumi Hamasaki is one of the biggest pitchwoman in Japan. After a modeling gig that led to a singing contract, a trip to New York, then back to fame and fortune in Japan, this 5′2″ dynamo has done it all!

Devon Aoki in Black and White

A new group of Devon Aoki pictures, these in black and white. You can check out Devon in the upcoming action-adventure movie “Dead or Alive”, based on the popular videogame. Here’s a quick trivia: Devon is the daughter of Rocky Aoki, the guy who owns the Benihana chain of restaurants. Free steaks for everyone!

Hikaru Utada

Japanese-American Hikaru Utada is a popular pop singer in Japan, but she was actually born in New York City. Not only was her mother a popular Japanese singer, but for you trivia fans, her favorite author is Edgar Allan Poe, who she was born on the same day as! How’s that for weird? Well, when it comes to Poe, everything’s weird. Anyways, here’s the cute as a button Hikaru!

Devon Aoki “Dead or Alive” Stills

Some promo stills of Devon Aoki in the action-kung fu movie “Dead or Alive”, based on the popular video game of the same name. I haven’t played the game, so I can’t really comment, except to say that it seems to involve hot girls kicking ass on some island, and Devon is one of those hot girls. Devon co-stars alongside Aussie Holly Valance and American Jaime Pressly in the upcoming flick.

More Eiko Koike

More looks at Japanese glamour model and actress Eiko Koike and her bountiful bosom. Oh my. Is she not the cutest and fabulously “gifted” Japanese woman you’ve ever seen?

More Devon Aoki

More of Japanese model Devon Aoki, who if you missed her, was the sword-slinging prostitute samurai chick in “Sin City”. You can catch her in the upcoming “Dead or Alive”, which I at first thought was about volleyball, but apparently isn’t! Go figure.
