Jamie Chung Steams up Maxim
Jamie Chung sure has come a long way from junk like The Real World. The woman is now a bona fide movie star. Who would have thunk any one of those MTV reality TV shows would ever get this far? I don’t think people even know that Jamie Chung used to be on the Real World. I certainly didn’t. She’s really hot, too, which makes her sort of perfect for a reality TV show where people make out. I guess that’s why she was cast. Now she’s in Maxim Magazine looking even hotter than ever. Holy crap, I gotta go see “Dragonball”…
Korean Model Hwang Mi Hee
Don’t know who Hwang Mi Hee is? Me, neither. Well, until now, that is. Now we know who Hwang Mi Hee is. She’s a Korean model and, um, well, that’s pretty much it. But take a look at these pictures of some of her modeling gigs. Okay, so maybe she could take off a little bit more clothes, or be a little bit sexier, but that should be coming down the line as she gets more into this modeling biz. Take a look at the Victoria’s Secret girls. That’s what modeling is about, baby! Anyways, these pics of Hwang Mi Hee aren’t the best there is, but you know, they could be worst. Okay, they could be much better, but we’ll take what we can get at the moment.
South Korea’s Shim Mina
Shim Mina’s became famous when someone with a camera realized she was a hot girl and started snapping pictures of her during the World Cup. She’s managed to parlay that brief bit of celebrity into a multi-album record deal, modeling gigs, and shot her way into our hearts and minds. Well, okay, maybe not our hearts and minds, but you know, other places on our body. Ahem. Anyways, I’ve never heard Shim Mina sing, but man, does she look good or does she look good? Yeah, I’m going to have to go with Shim Mina looking good. Sure, she plays up the sexy image to further her singing career, but whose complaining? Maybe some girls, but definitely not the boys out there!
Jamie Chung in Samurai Girl Promos
If you still don’t know the name Jamie Chung by now, you probably will very soon. Besides co-starring in what might be a surprise hit in the live-action movie version of the popular “Dragonball” anime, which is set to be released later next year, she’s also the star of ABC Family’s original mini-series “Samurai Girl”, in which she plays, well, a samurai girl. The movie has Jamie Chung fighting the Yakuza, the Japanese underworld, using her forefather’s Samurai skills. Basically, a hot girl kicks ass with a big ass sword. Tell me that doesn’t sound like a good day at the movies! Some promos of Chung from the movie below.
Grace Park in The Cleaner Promos
Well Grace Park sure isn’t waiting by her phone for someone to call with a job, now that her show Battlestar Galactica is in its final season, and there won’t be any more, for a while, if ever. (Chances are they’ll make a movie or two, but who knows in today’s crappy TV climate.) But Grace Park ain’t waiting around; our Canadian-Korean babe has already landed a regular job on a new TV show called The Cleaner with Benjamin Bratt. It looks like one of those life-affirming dramas, but I could be wrong. Catch it on A&E if you can. Here are promos of Grace Park from her new show.
South Korea’s Suh In-young in Cosmo
From what I can tell after perusing the Internet, South Korea’s Suh In-young is a singer and actress, most famous for being a member of the all-girl group “Jewelry”. (Hey, I guess that’s a better name than, say, “Socks” or something, am I right or am I right?) Anyways, I don’t speak Korean, so I don’t know if their songs are any good, but you can check out a video of one of their live performances (for the song “Everybody Shhh!”) below and judge for yourself. Meanwhile, ogle at a 24-year old Suh In-young in a bikini spread for the latest issue of Cosmopolitan Korea and enjoy your day. I know I am.
Grace Park in Complex Magazine
Battlestar Galactica is winding down and you know what that means, lovers of Asian hotness on TV — that’s right, no more weekly doses of Boomer, aka Grace Park, doing her Cylon thing on the tube. Which is a shame, but hopefully she’ll find another show very quickly, because come on, how many hot South Korean girls do we have on TV on a regular basis? Answer: ONE. That’s Grace Park. But hey, before she goes, Grace Park was nice enough to give us this great pictorial in Complex Magazine. Smoking hot, anyone? Who knew Cylons were so tempting?
Grace Park in Battlestar Galactica Season 4 Promos
Who would have thought that when The Sci Fi Channel announced that they were remaking Battlestar Galactica, and were going to drastically alter the show’s themes, that the show would end up being the channel’s most critically acclaimed show, basically, of all time? Well that’s what Battlestar Galactica has become, and Grace Park has ridden the wave from the very beginning. Here is the tall drink of water (I can’t believe a Korean girl is this tall!) showing off the lithe body in some Battlestar Galactica Season 4 promos.
Korean Car Babe Sun Hee Yoon
I have almost no idea who Sun Hee Yoon is except two things: She’s Korean, and she does something involving cars. I don’t know what that “something” is, but I don’t think it’s going out on a limb to say that she’s not a grease monkey. Unless, of course, the Koreans have hotter grease monkeys than the fat, stinky guys that works over here. Doubtful, but hey, hope springs eternal, right? Anyhoo. I’m not sure how famous Sun Hee Yoon really is over in Korea, but she’s famous enough for us to justify putting her here, so here she is and here she will stay. Voom voom, anyone?
Lee Hyori Shooting a Commercial in New York
You know, I have a couple of friends in New York that, when I finally see them again, I’m going to kick their asses, because Lee Hyori was recently in New York to shoot a commercial (for Korean TV, I’m guessing) and neither one of those dummies emailed or phoned to tell me. If I had known, I would have rushed right over on the redeye for a personal meet and greet. Well, anyways, here’s Lee Hyori on the set of the commercial. I don’t know if she’s applying her own make-up, or if that’s part of the commercial. Man, I hope they’re not letting a major Korean star apply her own make-up out in public!
Linda Park in The Women’s Murder Club
So Linda Park’s TV show Raines, which I personally thought was one of the best new shows on TV this year, has since ben canceled by NBC (damn you, NBC!), but Linda has already found a new job on the ABC show The Women’s Murder Club. I saw the premiere episode, but I don’t recall seeing Linda Park in it. Maybe her character comes in future episodes, because IMDB.com lists her as having five episodes in the show, and since there are promos of her around, I’m guessing she’ll job the “club” that is featured in the show. Basically, a bunch of women solves crimes, etc.
Music Video: Hyori Lee’s Get Ya
Here’s the music video for Hyori Lee’s “Get Ya” song. Besides being one heck of a music video (she just oozes sex appeal, doesn’t she?), the song was also famous (or is that infamous?) when it was released when Britney Spears’ people sued Hyori Lee’s people for the song. Apparently the song was too much like something Spears had done. I don’t think the two pop stars were suing each other, it was the people behind the scenes doing the suing and being sued. Anyways, it’s a great video anyway. Enjoy. (I originally posted the YouTube version, but the DailyMotion version is much clearer and better quality.)
Music Video: Hyori Lee’s 10 Minutes
Here’s Hyori Lee’s music video for “10 Minutes”, basically the song and video that catapulted her to international stardom. Although most people outside of Korea still have no idea who Hyori Lee is, they really should, because this woman is one of Korea’s hidden gems. She’s been having a little bit of trouble getting traction for her comeback, and has come under some scrutiny for her too-sexy image. Which is bullshit. Who would have trouble with a woman who is TOO sexy? Don’t be ridiculous!
Hyori Lee in Arena Magazine
We don’t see nearly enough of South Korean pop singer Hyori Lee around these parts, but that’s going to change with this spread she did for Arena Magazine. I’m told this is the South Korean version of Arena, but since I don’t know if such a thing actually exists, I’m going to go with it and tell you not to hold me to it if I’m wrong. In any case, Hyori Lee is looking very good here, even though I’m a little surprised the whole spread is not nearly as risque as Arena usually does their spreads. Not a whole lot of skin showing there, Lee, what’s going on, babe?
Lee Hyo-Ri’s 10 Minutes Music Video
South Korean pop diva Lee Hyo-Ri (or Lee Hyo Lee) had a bit of a rough stretch there for a while. First there was that whole legal snafu between her guys and Britney Spears’ people, and then her image took a beating when some Koreans thought she was showing off a way too sexy image. (What are these guys on, crack? Sexy is in, baby!) But that hasn’t stopped Lee, and she’s come back stronger than ever. Kinda like Madonna, only less skanky and without all the STD’s. Here’s one of Lee’s major hits, “10 Minutes”, which posits that Lee can seduce any man within 10 minutes. In my opinion, that’s at least, oh, 9 minutes more than she needs!
Yunjin Kim is No Longer “Lost”
In an interview with the Digital Chosunilbo, “Lost” star Yunjin Kim talks about working in America, looking for love, and her idea of beauty. The most interesting thing about the article? Kim was asked about her Hollywood salary, and she mentions that she makes $100,000 per episode for “Lost”. So multiply that by 24 episodes a year and Kim makes $2.4 million a year on “Lost” alone! Wow, nice chunk of change if you can get it, I always say. Read the rest of the article for more of Yunjin Kim’s thoughts on love, work, and Hollywood.
Michelle Wie at the “Spider-Man 3″ Premiere in Tokyo
It’s kind of odd to see golfing wunderkin Michelle Wie to be off the gold course or wearing anything other than a plaid skirt and swinging a golf club. But hey, who says you have to live to work? It should be working to live, which is what Michelle Wie seems to be doing here, as she’s taking time off the golf stuff to attending the Tokyo World Premiere of the latest “Spider-Man” movies. Oh, to be famous and attending world premieres…
Pool Hustler Jeanette Lee, The Black Widow
One of the primary reasons why I even bother watching ESPN2 is because of their occasional coverage of pool competitions. The ladies pool competitions, of course. (What’s the point in watching the men play? I can do that all day at my local poolhall.) But when you can watch uber babes like Jeanette Lee, aka The Black Widow, bend over a pool table with a long stick and line up — um, you know what I’m saying. Although half-Korean, Jeanette Lee is an American pool player, born in Brooklyn, New York. You gotta be pretty tough to grow up in Brooklyn, that’s for sure.
African-Korean Actress Denyce Lawton
No idea who Denyce Lawton is? I don’t blame you, I don’t know who she is, either, but now I do. Says Wikipedia about her: “Denyce Lawton is an actress and model of African and Korean decent. She played in the movie Soul Plane.” She was born in Seoul, South Korea, and started her acting career showing up in music videos for 112’s “Peaches & Cream”, Jaheim’s “Anything”, and Nas’ “One Mic”. Here she is at the Celebrity Vault VIP Launch.
Hyori Lee Calvin Klein Ads in Harper’s Bazaar
About a month ago it was revealed that South Korean pop singer and all around gorgeous babe Hyori Lee had signed to be Calvin Klein’s new jeans mode. So here she is in the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar showing some great ass in a pair of great jeans. Hyori Lee has almost zero fat, so it’s no surprise she’d look good in tight jeans. And oh yeah, apparently I’ve heard she’s a pretty good singer. Or at least, she can dance really, really well.
