Lee Hyori Shooting a Commercial in New York

| November 1, 2007

You know, I have a couple of friends in New York that, when I finally see them again, I’m going to kick their asses, because Lee Hyori was recently in New York to shoot a commercial (for Korean TV, I’m guessing) and neither one of those dummies emailed or phoned to tell me. If I had known, I would have rushed right over on the redeye for a personal meet and greet. Well, anyways, here’s Lee Hyori on the set of the commercial. I don’t know if she’s applying her own make-up, or if that’s part of the commercial. Man, I hope they’re not letting a major Korean star apply her own make-up out in public!

Linda Park in The Women’s Murder Club

| October 20, 2007

So Linda Park’s TV show Raines, which I personally thought was one of the best new shows on TV this year, has since ben canceled by NBC (damn you, NBC!), but Linda has already found a new job on the ABC show The Women’s Murder Club. I saw the premiere episode, but I don’t recall seeing Linda Park in it. Maybe her character comes in future episodes, because IMDB.com lists her as having five episodes in the show, and since there are promos of her around, I’m guessing she’ll job the “club” that is featured in the show. Basically, a bunch of women solves crimes, etc.

Hyori Lee GGPX New York Ads

| October 17, 2007

You know I love me my Hyori Lee. So here’s a series of GGPX New York ads that Hyori Lee was the star in. I’m not sure what GGPX is, or what they sell, but I’m reasonably sure it has something to do with clothes. Sexy clothes, if their pitchwoman is Hyori Lee. You can’t say Hyori Lee without adding the word “sexy” next or before it, because let’s face it, there’s not all that many women in South Korea that looks as good as Hyori Lee in any type of clothes (or without).

Maggie Q. at Breaking The Ice Fundraiser

| October 14, 2007

I’m not sure what the heck the “Breaking The Ice” fundraiser is (I’m guessing it’s a fundraiser called “Breaking The Ice”, but beyond that? No idea.), but Maggie Q. attended the festivities, and if Maggie Q. was there, then we’re happy to post it. Although, after looking more at the background in the pictures, it appears that this is a fundraiser for some kind of conversation program. Hey, she’s hot and she wants to save the world? Now that’s my kind of girl!

Thai Model Karnchanit Summakul in Maxim

| October 10, 2007

Color me surprised. I didn’t even know Maxim Magazine had a Thailand version of their magazine! Where else has Maxim’s long arm reached? I know they’re in Russia, all of Europe, and South Korea, but is there a Japanese version? I don’t know, I’ve never heard of it, but then again, I’ve also never heard of the Thai version either until now. The cover girl for this edition is Karnchanit Summakul. This is no doubt Karnchanit’s first big shot at the big time, as I think before she was just known as a video model. She’s looking good, and should do pretty well in the modeling game.

Music Video: Hyori Lee’s Get Ya

| October 9, 2007

Here’s the music video for Hyori Lee’s “Get Ya” song. Besides being one heck of a music video (she just oozes sex appeal, doesn’t she?), the song was also famous (or is that infamous?) when it was released when Britney Spears’ people sued Hyori Lee’s people for the song. Apparently the song was too much like something Spears had done. I don’t think the two pop stars were suing each other, it was the people behind the scenes doing the suing and being sued. Anyways, it’s a great video anyway. Enjoy. (I originally posted the YouTube version, but the DailyMotion version is much clearer and better quality.)

Devon Aoki is Looking Good

| October 7, 2007

Devon Aoki’s movie career is taking off, with roles in major Hollywood movies ever since she burst onto the scene in a sexy turn in one of those “Fast and the Furious” movies. Since then, she’s starred in the action movie “DOA: Dead or Alive”, fought alongside Jet Li and Jason Statham in “War”, and next you can see her in the futuristic science fiction thriller “The Mutant Chronicles” and possibly in “Sin City 2″. That is, if the latter movie is ever made. If it does happen, Devon Aoki will be playing Miho, the sword-swinging Japanese assassin of Old Town. (You’ll know what I’m talking about if you’ve seen the movie or read the Frank Miller comics.) Here are some new pictures of Devon Aoki looking good.

Jeannette Lee in Maxim

| October 7, 2007

You knew it was only a matter of time before professional billiard’s hottest woman, nevermind the hottest Asian woman, would show up in the pages of Maxim Magazine showing off her vast talents. And yes, I’m talking about more than just her ability to knock balls into pool slots with ease, but also that spectacular body. Here’s Jeannette Lee, otherwise known by her professional name, The Black Widow, in the pages of Maxim. Does she look good or does she look good? Yeah, I’m gonna go with Jeannette Lee looking damn good. Thanks to Dan for sending in the pictures.

Maggie Q. Promotes her PETA Ad in Hong Kong

| September 25, 2007

It looks like those animal loving nuts at PETA have found their latest weapon against meat eaters — the beautiful Maggie Q., who was recently seen promoting her upcoming PETA ad (you can see pictures of it in the background) in Hong Kong. And damn, did PETA ever chose the right representative! Of course, I don’t know how good trying to tell Hong Kongers not to eat meat will do. As I recall, Chinese people looooove their meat. But hey, why not, right? If a half-naked Maggie Q. can’t convince you to stop eating meat, who can?

Music Video: Hyori Lee’s 10 Minutes

| September 4, 2007

Here’s Hyori Lee’s music video for “10 Minutes”, basically the song and video that catapulted her to international stardom. Although most people outside of Korea still have no idea who Hyori Lee is, they really should, because this woman is one of Korea’s hidden gems. She’s been having a little bit of trouble getting traction for her comeback, and has come under some scrutiny for her too-sexy image. Which is bullshit. Who would have trouble with a woman who is TOO sexy? Don’t be ridiculous!

Hyori Lee in Arena Magazine

| August 31, 2007

We don’t see nearly enough of South Korean pop singer Hyori Lee around these parts, but that’s going to change with this spread she did for Arena Magazine. I’m told this is the South Korean version of Arena, but since I don’t know if such a thing actually exists, I’m going to go with it and tell you not to hold me to it if I’m wrong. In any case, Hyori Lee is looking very good here, even though I’m a little surprised the whole spread is not nearly as risque as Arena usually does their spreads. Not a whole lot of skin showing there, Lee, what’s going on, babe?

Maggie Q. at the Balls of Fury Premiere

| August 26, 2007

Everyone’s favorite Asian vegetarian and tall glass of water Maggie Q. at the premiere of her latest Hollywood movie, the comedy “Balls of Fury”, which is about a ping pong tournament that is sure to be a laugh a minute. Or if not, then it should be nice to look at with Maggie Q. playing the film’s love interest. The only bad thing? The hero is a big fat guy who, undoubtedly, Maggie Q. will fall for against all odds. I mean, come ON, is that really gonna happen? Anyways, Maggie Q. is hot, although I’m not sure about the short/suit thing she’s wearing…

Namie Amuro and Suite Chic “Uh Uh” Music Video

| August 8, 2007

This is actually an old music video of Namie Amuro, back when she was experimenting and doing work for other musicians. She was part of the Suite Chic thingamagig from a few years ago, but that project’s one big hit, I believe, was this song “Uh uh” with Namie Amuro and a female Japanese rapper. Basically, it’s all about Namie. She looks incredibly hot in the video and the wordplay is pretty outstanding. You gotta love a woman who can roll those lyrics around like it’s nothing. Very, very impressive video overall, and the song is worth listening to a few thousand times. The video is even better. (I know, the video is all out of sync, but that’s the problem with these music videos. Just deal with it.)

Katie Leung at the Harry Potter Premiere

| July 15, 2007

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, then you know the latest Harry Potter movies, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”, is the biggest thing with the kids and adults who enjoy their kids movie. Then again, from what I’ve heard, “Order of the Phoenix” is the darkest Potter movie yet. But in any case, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” is going to be cleaning up the box office, and we like to think Katie Leung, who plays Harry’s love interest in the movie, is partly responsible. Then again, maybe not, but whatever. Here’s Katie at the premiere of “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”. Katie Leung trivia: She’s Scottish-Asian.

Maggie Q. Loves Dogs. And Justin Long?

| July 15, 2007

How perfect is Maggie Q.? She’s a vegetarian, which accounts for that long, lean body. She’s amazingly talented, and apparently she loves animals, if these pictures of Maggie at the Animal Rescue Benefit charity event is any indication. And apparently she’s also dating Justin Long, her co-star from “Live Free or Die Hard”. I didn’t believe it when they both showed up at the ESPYs with each other, but two public events in a roll? That seems like more than friendship to me. Conclusion: Justin Long is one lucky bastard.

Maggie Q. at the 2007 ESPY Awards

| July 12, 2007

The big question after seeing these pictures of Maggie Q. at the 2007 ESPY Awards is, “Wow, she looks really good, I wonder if I have a shot?” And once you’re through with that, the second thought is, “Dude, is the ‘Mac’ guy dating Maggie Q.?” Maybe, maybe not. For those of you who don’t know, the guy is Justin Long, Maggie co-star in “Live Free or Die Hard”, which also starred some guy named Bruce Willis. Maybe you’ve heard of him? Anyways, here’s Maggie Q. arriving on the red carpet of the 2007 ESPY Awards. It’s an Awards show for sports.

Kelly Hu in Yellow Magazine, Plus Video

| July 6, 2007

The always stunning Kelly Hu looking stunning in the May issue of Yellow Magazine, which I’m assuming is some kind of Asian-American themed magazine, or otherwise it’s just wrong. Not sure what Kelly’s up to at the moment, but IMDB lists her at being involved in three movies, including “The Tournament”, which really sounds cool. In the film, assassins are brought to one town to duke it out for a large purse (as in money, not the kind women carry around, ahem). Although I’m sure if they wanted a purse, just a regular purse, they could buy one with their winnings. But I digress.

Lee Hyo-Ri’s 10 Minutes Music Video

| July 6, 2007

South Korean pop diva Lee Hyo-Ri (or Lee Hyo Lee) had a bit of a rough stretch there for a while. First there was that whole legal snafu between her guys and Britney Spears’ people, and then her image took a beating when some Koreans thought she was showing off a way too sexy image. (What are these guys on, crack? Sexy is in, baby!) But that hasn’t stopped Lee, and she’s come back stronger than ever. Kinda like Madonna, only less skanky and without all the STD’s. Here’s one of Lee’s major hits, “10 Minutes”, which posits that Lee can seduce any man within 10 minutes. In my opinion, that’s at least, oh, 9 minutes more than she needs!

Yunjin Kim is No Longer “Lost”

| June 25, 2007

In an interview with the Digital Chosunilbo, “Lost” star Yunjin Kim talks about working in America, looking for love, and her idea of beauty. The most interesting thing about the article? Kim was asked about her Hollywood salary, and she mentions that she makes $100,000 per episode for “Lost”. So multiply that by 24 episodes a year and Kim makes $2.4 million a year on “Lost” alone! Wow, nice chunk of change if you can get it, I always say. Read the rest of the article for more of Yunjin Kim’s thoughts on love, work, and Hollywood.

Maggie Q. at a Die Hard Premiere

| June 20, 2007

I’m not sure where Maggie Q is at this movie premiere of “Live Free or Die Hard”, or as it’s known overseas, “Die Hard 4.0″ (because, you know, the movie involves cyber terrorism). But since she was in Germany recently, and I haven’t heard of a U.S. premiere in the States for the movie, I’m going to guess that Maggie Q was walking the red carpet overseas, probably in Europe somewhere. Maybe Germany? Anyways, it doesn’t matter. Here’s Maggie Q looking gorgeous.
