What’s better than a trio of girls fighting for the future of humanity in a post-apocalyptic world in the not-so-distant future? Not much, really. “Ghost in the Shell” director Mamoru Oshii’s action-packed science fiction epic “Assault Girls” is finally headed to Region 2 DVD on June 23rd. Not surprisingly, I’m pretty pumped about the picture despite the fact that I haven’t really heard too many good things about it. Will that stop me from wrapping my gnarled fingers around a copy given half the chance? Of course not. Don’t be so silly.
