Australian Sharks Attack in the Debut Trailer for Andrew Traucki’s The Reef

I’ll be blunt: Director Andrew Traucki’s Australian horror flick “The Reef” looks remarkably similar to Chris Kentis’ “Open Water”, a film that contains an almost identical aquatic premise. Of course, the former seems more concerned with floating and surviving, while the latter was much more interested in shallow bickering and martial dysfunction. Still, the similarities are almost too hard to ignore, especially once the embedded trailer begins to explore the horrors of this ill-fated excursion into the deep blue sea. If you’re still curious, the clip awaits. Quiet Earth is responsible for catching this fish.

Aaah man, sharks don't need this right now, they are in serious trouble as it is and any more negative publicity is just going to make it that more difficult to get the protection they desperately need. Educate yourself, view http://www.sharks.org.za
