Awesome New Dark Knight Rises MTV Trailer

Christian Bale in The Dark Knight Rises (2012) Movie Image

If you were one of the kids who stayed up late last night to watch the MTV Movie Awards on MTV, then you saw a brand spanking new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s third (and supposedly last) Batman movie during the show. It’s quite the trailer, with a ton of new footage featuring Batman, Catwoman, and Bane swaggering around the joint like he owns it. But in case you missed it (I dunno, that Heat-Celtics overtime game was pretty rad), have no fear, here’s the new 90-second trailer. No doubt Warner Bros. will be releasing an official version by sun-up tomorrow, so we’ll swap it when it does show up.

Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to their limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent’s crimes.

Starring Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, and Nestor Carbonell.

The bat rises again July 20, 2012.

Finally looks like a Batman movie!

    Quite awesome indeed.

Seems to really be pushing the economic angle, and those two cops are totally ripped right from The Dark Knight Returns, the scene instantly came to mind.

I think what I love most about this movie (as with all of Nolan’s films) is that after every trailer or tv spot, I still have no concrete idea of what is going to happen! I have lots of ideas, lots of possibilities, but there is something I just love about going into a movie for the first time and not knowing what to expect!

    Bring it on!
