Badass Russian Red Band Trailer for Wanted

Wow, if the American trailers for Russian director Timur Bekmambetov’s “Wanted” had been half as good as the one the studio cut for Russian consumption, more people would be jacked to see “Wanted” on the big screen. This thing is not just bloody, but it’s packed to the gills with outrageous action scenes. Also, notice that they actually digitized a lot of the words in the movie into Russian. I have no idea if they do this for the entire movie, or if this is just for the trailer.

A young man finds out his long lost father is an assassin. And when his father is murdered, the son is recruited into his father’s old organization and trained by a man named Sloan to follow in his dad’s footsteps.

Starring Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy, and Morgan Freeman. Based on the comic book by Mark Millar, and directed by Timur Bekmambetov.

Get wanted June 27, 2008.

Man this trailer makes me want to see it now. Why the hell was the American trailer so fixed on the “curve the bullet” idea and hardly show anything that the movie really has to offer? I understand cutting out the sex and violence but still this thing is infinitely better.
