Batman isn’t just doing a lot of damage on the big screen, he’s been doing his share of damage on your videogame consoles, too. Just ask your kids. They know all about it. Speaking of which, your little tyke’s latest chance to don the cape and cowl as the Caped Crusader is “Batman: Arkham Origins”. According to the game’s launch trailer, we’re told that this time it’s personal. Because someone killing your parents and turning you into a vigilante, you know, isn’t, apparently.
The Batman games are nothing if not story-heavy, so here’s the story for this one:
Black Mask (AKA Roman Sionis) has but one goal this Christmas Eve night, to kill the Batman. With the aim to further tighten his grip on the city, this ruthless and sadistic crime lord will stop at nothing to destroy the vigilante. To get this done, Black Mask has put a bounty on Batman’s head, and the eight assassins that are out to claim the prize will be some of the most dangerous and lethal killers the young crime-fighter has ever encountered. To survive the night and save his city, our hero’s strengths and skills will be tested and pushed to their limits.
