Baz Luhrmann’s mega-epic historical WWII movie “Australia” looks like a great movie to take the girlfriend to. She’ll probably get a load of these movie posters and start to swoon. You shell out $20 bucks for each of you at the theater and bada-bing bada-bang it’s good times at home. And hey, if you don’t have a girlfriend, it’ll probably work on your imaginary girlfriend, too. Who am I to tell you what you can and can’t do with your Friday nights? Anyways, new posters for Baz Luhrmann’s “Australia” below.
A romantic action-adventure set in northern Australia prior to World War II, AUSTRALIA centers on an English aristocrat who inherits a ranch the size of Maryland. When English cattle barons plot to take her land, she reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn cattle driver to drive 2000 head of cattle across hundreds of miles of the country’s most unforgiving land, only to still face the bombing of Darwin, Australia by the Japanese forces that had attacked Pearl Harbor only months earlier.
Starring two of Australia’s most famous actors, Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman. Was it too much to make it three of Australia’s most famous actors, and add Crocodile Dundee in there somewhere? Anyways.
Head down under November 14.
