Behind-the-Scenes Look at Neil Marshall’s Centurion

I had no idea Neil Marshall (of “Descent” fame) was even doing “Centurion” until the production released that official pic of Olga in war paint a few weeks back (below). The whole idea of the very visceral Marshall going, literally, Roman on a swords-and-spears movie should put “Centurion” on the must-see list of every action junkie out there. But just in case it didn’t, here’s a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot. Damn this looks good.

Britain, A.D. 117. Quintus Dias, the sole survivor of a Pictish raid on a Roman frontier fort, marches north with General Virilus’ legendary Ninth Legion, under orders to wipe the Picts from the face of the Earth and destroy their leader, Gorlacon.

“Centurion” stars “300” guys Dominic West and Michael Fassbender, with assist from “Hitman’s” Olga Kurylenko. Neil Marshall (“The Descent”, “Dog Soldiers”) writes and directs.

And just in case you missed it, here’s Olga Kurylenko in the first official pic from Marshall’s “Centurion”:
