Behind the Scenes Video of Ninja Assassin

Ninja Assassin (2009) Movie, Videos — By Nix on August 4, 2008

We haven’t heard a thing about “Ninja Assassin” besides seen a couple of photos from the movie (the official ones released by Warner Bros., anyway), but the German folks are already getting video behind-the-scenes features. What’s the deal with that, WB? I guess having a major Hollywood movie shoot in your backyard gives you some privileges. Anyways, here’s a Reuters video of a quick behind-the-scenes video look at the making of the Wachowski Brothers’ latest, “Ninja Assassin”, starring South Korean pop guy Rain as a badass ninja who betrays his clan and falls for a Western chick who works for Interpol. Not necessarily in that order.

In Berlin, Europol agent Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) has stumbled upon a money trail linking several political murders to an underground network of untraceable assassins from the Far East. Defying the orders of her superior, Ryan Maslow (Ben Miles), Mika digs into top secret agency files to learn the truth behind the murders. Her investigation makes her a target, and the Ozunu Clan sends a team of killers, led by the lethal Takeshi (Rick Yune), to silence her forever. Raizo saves Mika from her attackers, but he knows that the Clan will not rest until they are both eliminated. Now, entangled in a deadly game of cat and mouse through the streets of Europe, Raizo and Mika must trust one another if they hope to survive and finally bring down the elusive Ozunu Clan.

Starring Rain, Naomie Harris, Sho Kosugi, Rick Yune, and Ben Miles. James McTeigue (”V for Vendetta”) directs from a script by Matthew Sand and J. Michael Straczynski.

Come on, what are you bitching about? Yes, the movie is shot in Berlin (guess it´s too expensive to shoot in the states nowadays?!), so it´s natural that local camerateams capture some footage. Do you have to be the first in line everytime just ´cause you´re from the US? Having said that, I´m not impressed with what I´ve see. That Rain-guy looks more like a puss and less like a badass ninja (alike Kusugi).

Could say the same about you. Can´t say how much I feel honored about our “privileges” to see the lameass footage first. To be true I wouldn´t have noticed if hadn´t complained about it. ;)
