Oh, “Farscape”, will we ever get you back on the air? Probably not in my lifetime, but one can dream, right? Ben Browder, star of “Farscape”, gave us something approaching “Farscape”-lite when he took over the male lead in the last few seasons of “Stargate: SG1” alongside his “Farscape” love interest Claudia Black (and though the two never hooked up on the show, the show’s producers sure gave us a couple of teasing episodes), and now Browder will be ensuring that those evil bad kids go to hell in the live-action adaptation of Matt Spradlin and Barry Wernick’s “Bad Kids go to Hell” comic book.
Bigfanboy says that Browder would play Max, a mysterious janitor in the movie. The role is described as an “important” one, which makes sense as the movie seems to have a pretty unknown cast minus Browder and former ’80s guy Judd Nelson, who is playing the school’s headmaster.
The plot goes thusly:
Six private school high school kids find themselves stuck in detention on a frightfully dark and stormy Saturday afternoon. During their 8 hour incarceration, each of the six kids falls victim to a horrible “accident” until only one of them remains. And as each of these spoiled rich kids bites the dust, the story takes on a series of humorous and frantic twists and turns. Is one of the kids secretly evening the school’s social playing field? Or have the ghosts of prestigious Crestview Academy finally come to punish the school’s worst (and seemingly untouchable) brats? One thing is for sure…Daddy’s money can’t save them now.
The horror/comedy/thriller will star Browder and Nelson, along with Amanda Alch, Marc Donato, Augie Duke, Ali Faulkner, Robert Hayes, Cameron Deane Stewart, Chanel Ryan, and Eloise DeJoria.
Spradlin will direct the film, which has already begun shooting around Texas.
