This movie fucking sucked…. ‘Nuff said. ITS THE FUCKING 21ST CENTURY ENOUGH WITH THE BLACK AND WHITE! I WANT COLOR DAMMIT!’ Basically like the others have already stated it was horrible at best. You’re allured by the appealing cover as I was when I first saw it in Blockbuster (a scene which you never see in the actual movie for some reason). I believe, no let me rephrase, I know that this movie is a complete waste of time and money. It’s very hard to believe that the same film makers that created the twisted and horrific movie Saw and it’s sequels made this piece of shit that doesn’t even deserve to be part of the 40’s horror movie bunch with the strings apparent B.S.

This film, like so many other Lovecraft adaptations or inspired films, would have HP Lovecraft turning in his grave.This film is so bad, on so many levels, that it was nearly impossible to watch.The story is a complete mess, the acting is TERRIBLE, the cinematography is CRAP.I’m unfamiliar with this directors background, but i’ll wager that he or the producers are veteran shlock Halloween, backyard, do it yourself haunted house guys, using played out electro shock patient sceanes, blood and guts sceanarios, and other lame suburban haunted house effects.The film is filled with the same quick cuts of dancing children, hands squeezing blood,raving lunatics, insane twisted faces over and over again, it becomes unwatchable and boring really fast.It is so easy to limit ones imagination and idea of things “Lovecraft” that most fans grossly miss the big picture and over look Lovecraft’s true vision.Does this vision make for an interesting film? You bet it does when in the hands of the right filmmakers, and very few filmmakers have come close.
