Battle: Los Angeles (March 11)

In a year or so, big-budget Hollywood movies about alien invasions will become boring and tedious and repetitive. And that’s just on the big screen. There’s an alien invasion show headed to TNT this year, too. “Battle: Los Angeles” is coming out at just the right time — first. (Not counting 2010′s “Skyline”, of course.) Throw in a fantastic actor like Aaron Eckhart in the lead, badass devastation on a global scale, and you’ve got yourself “Black Hawk Down” with aliens. Jonathan Liebesman, who will soon be helming “Clash of the Titans 2″, directs. Full Preview Page.

So now you’re stealing my ideas and lists? What are you an Extractor or something? Cause this is the same list I have in my head! Good list, great comments. I especially agree about Conan and “Revenge of the Fallen” and it’s sequel “Dark of the Moon.” As I said before about “Thor” I think Branagh was the perfect choice for the film as his Shakespearean background lends perfectly to the world of Thor. This will be a great year for geeks!!

Haha. Great minds think alike and all that good stuff.

I don’t agree with the unfortunately label on Bloom and Knightly leaving. They were the worst part of the three movies. I think two and three stink so badly because they spend too much time dealing with these ass clowns.

You would be surprised, judging by the comments in our other Pirates posts, how many people can’t get over them not being in the fourth movie. They’re a lot more popular than you think.

LMAO! I was gonna say it’s because no one is really anticipating it but them, but I thought that may be a bit mean. LOL

How about JJ Abrams “Super 8″? That shit looks intriguing as hell!! Most of this list i agree with! Its a “nerd” celebration this year and it starts out in March with the uber fanboy film “SuckerPunch”, which im personally most excited for!

How the hell was Kick-Ass high budget?

  • Marvelover

Have you seriously forgotten X-Men: First Class? What the hell!

    • http://www.beyondhollywood.com/ Nix

Wow. I seriously DID forget. Not a joke. I completely forgot that movie when I did the list. Added them to the Honorable Mentions list since it’s too late to add them to the main list itself.

      • Marvelover

Ah well. I am pretty surprised though, that’s one of the first ones I thought you would have put. It would have made the list had you remembered it though, right? ;)
