Here’s your first official look at Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) from “The Hobbit Part 2: The Desolation of Smaug”.
The second part of Peter Jackson’s new Middle Earth trilogy opens December 13, 2013 next year, and follows Bilbo and the dwarfs as they reach the dragon Smaug’s mountain, where the fire-breathing looter is keeping the dwarfs’ gold, the impetus for the “journey” in the first place. How exactly is Bilbo going to carry all that gold out of there? Big pockets, I guess.
And in case you haven’t been keeping track at home, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” opens next Friday. Here’s a new pic from it:
