Yup. This is your first look at Rhona Mitra all covered up in black leather for her role in “Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans”. (“Lycans” are the werewolves in the movie, for those of you who don’t know the franchise.) As you can see, choosing to post these first looks at Rhona Mitra was easy, considering that the only other news left to post were crappy cellphone videos snapped of trailers from Comic Con over the weekend. Aside from the “Wolverine” one, I’m just not even going to bother with those. Anyways, here’s some great pics of Mitra from “Underworld 3”. I think I’m in love.
The prequel story traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian (Sheen) emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja (Mitra), in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.
Besides replacing the leading lady with Rhona Mitra (stepping in for Kate Beckinsale), the sequel also replaces Len Wiseman, who directed the previous two “Underworld” films (and married his leading lady, to boot!) with some guy name Patrick Tatopoulos.
